PetroliaReviews of petrolia.shop

My back of my frame was on the wrong way round so I had to change that and I didn’t expect it to be such a loose fitting frame made out of plastic but other than that the product is good.

I came across Petrolia on TikTok and I was eager to buy one of their prints for my partner’s brother as a xmas present. I went on their website and got a discount code but didn’t copy it in time, so spoke to the lad that runs the shop (apologies I don’t know your name!!) and he was really lovely and eager to help. I placed the order and the shipping was very efficient especially with the run up to xmas. My partner and I were really excited to see the print in person, especially after seeing all the TikToks about the brand and how much attention to detail goes into sourcing the prints. We opened the package and must say we weren’t massively impressed. The prints were in great condition but the photo frames are just poor quality and just make the overall quality of the product decline. While I understand that the company may be new and you are trying to make profit (as every other business!) I think the prints should be placed in a stronger, higher quality frame (wood for example) with glass window, rather than the IKEA plastic frames and plastic window. The company and it’s products are very niche (I’m not a car enthusiast so I could be wrong) so there is opportunity to create this business as one that sells high quality products, and one that pays very close attention to detail with sourcing their prints. But by sourcing cheap frames, I feel it would place this company in a vulnerable spot if another company tried to do something similar but with higher quality products. Despite this, I do love everything the business offers and I hope they do well! I just think there’s some things to improve to keep this business successful!

A nice add to my collection of Porsche 968 memorabilia. Framed and ready to mount on the wall.

Delivery not too long. Product as described. Grandson loved it!

Secure packaging, messed up order but quickly responded to me and fixed the issue without difficulty. Would definitely order again.

Ultimately this was a really fun ad to my growing car art collection. Two flaws of no fault to petrolia’s. The size of these prints and frames were far smaller than anticipated. I should have verified their size before buying them, but ultimately they will match my other ones nicely. The frames they came in did well to keep the art protected, but are by no means sturdy or able to hang on the wall. This isn’t much of a fault in my opinion. Frames are cheap to replace and ultimately they got them across the pond. Aside from those two things, the product, curation, and idea is worth exploring. The art I got is of my first car and current car so they will be cherished for a long time. Definetly will be looking for more large format ads though.
