After the last boarding and daycare at the SANFORD location we won’t be using there services anymore. It was unexceptable to send a dog home covered in mud, even if it was raining. I brought him in clean and expected to get him back the same way.

Truly a great place to board you pet. The staff is always friendly and courteous. They seem to treat your pet as if it was theirs.

Wouldn’t take my dog here to save my life. If you expect someone to take care of your pet it isn’t pet Paradise. Money comes first. Not your pets.

I boarded 2 Shi Tzu puppies, Donny & Marie from Wednesday 8/29/2018 to Wednesday 9/5/2018. I used your company because a friend of ours, Joanne Hvisdas, recommended you. I am writing to you because you can't fix a problem if you don't know about it. I received daily pictures/texts and it seemed that my dogs were being cared for. I paid to have my dogs get an exit grooming. I specified that I wanted nails trimmed, anal glands expressed and pads clipped. I know for certain that their foot pads were not clipped, and I doubt that the anal glands were expressed. I paid for this the last time and it was the same result. When we got there to pick them up, Renee, the groomer, came out and said that the dogs had a few matts and she was afraid that a bath for Marie would cause more problems. She also suggested that they get shaved down. First of all - NO! The matts were so severe and next to her skin that shaving it would have cut her skin. We came directly from the airport and were tired so we didn't make a big deal out of it but . . . when we got home and could access the damages, OH MY GOD! Both dogs where so matted that they were lethargic and in pain. I took a picture of the mound of hair that was matted on Marie alone. Donny wasn't that much better. As I looked closer the matting was so out of hand. I don't think they where brushed at all over the 8 days. REALLY?!? I gave them pain medication and it took 6 hours over 3 days to get them brushed out. They also smelled of urine and feces and the towel we left in their crate was drenched in urine. They weren't back to normal until a week later. WHY DID IT GET TO THIS POINT? We have only used your "Paradise" one other time for an overnight and there was no problem, other than the lack of grooming. Their pads weren't trimmed then either but we just took it as an oversite. How could the staff let it get to this point? Have you never boarded a long haired Shi Tzu before? Communication really lacks! I would gladly pay extra to brush them daily - but didn't know it was an option. It is just neglect on your part. When we got there - the whole staff scattered. There was a feeling that something was wrong. I am furious about this and demand a refund. These are the sweetest dogs and you have abused them. They didn't deserve the treatment or neglect that Pet Paradise bestowed on them. It was totally avoidable, but no one took the time to communicate what was going on and the innocent dogs had to suffer because of the unreasonable and unacceptable treatment they got. I don't know that I would use your facility again in fear that you would retaliate on my dogs. I talked to Jennifer, the Manager, and expressed my concern. She offered me a free night but that is an insult to our family. I paid a lot of money and thought I was getting the best possible place for my dogs. NOT SO!

My dog was in this facility for 8 nights and it took the staff four nights to call me to say she hadn't eaten AT ALL since she'd been there. This is completely unacceptable and abusive. My dog also came home with several bed sores on her joints, indicating she was not exercised properly, and left to lay on a hard surface for extended periods of time. Additionally, my dog is to receive an allergy pill once a day, as we instructed at check in, and upon pick up she was exhibiting allergy symptoms we have not seen in her since before she was on a regular medication. These include extreme redness on the pads of all four paws, regular reversed sneezing, and anal gland expression issues caused by inflammation. Overall my dog lost 5lbs in 8 days due to a company who waited 4 days before becoming concerned that one of the dogs in their care wasn't eating at all. This is after paying nearly $400 for what is supposed to be superb, home-like care. I will never submit my dog to this horrific "care" ever again. Furthermore, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, sharing my experience over social media, and contacting legal professionals to seek repayment of the boarding fees as the care promised for my dog was not anywhere close to what was actually provided.
