We went to Petflow to order Hill’s Science Digest Chicken N Stew Dog food. Petflow said that they had the item in stock. After ordering 3 cases and charging it off my account, we get a notice a few days later that the item is not in stock. Why did the website say that it was in stock when it was not? So stupid.

I hate to give one star but lord I ordered my dogs prescription food (which is extremely important as that is the ONLY thing he can eat without getting major diarrhea) on 9/19/21 and today 9/30/21 it has traveled from NJ to TX and once again hasn’t moved for days. I know that isn’t petflow’s fault but you do have a choice in carrier and when you run out of something and need to ship it from the east coast (not my fault) you could chose I don’t know maybe priority. I deeply regret using Petflow.

Customer service was very helpful, but besides that, a frustrating experience. I had ordered puppy food, and it was supposed to ship on Sept 24. By Sept 29, I had no notification of shipping or anything, and the status in my account said it was pending shipping. When I called Customer service, the helpful rep told me it was back ordered and not currently in stock, and that they wait 15 days to see if it comes in stock before notifying the customer of a cancelation. Unfortunately, I cannot wait that long for my order, and need to know if it's out of stock ASAP, so that I can buy it elsewhere. That is a very frustrating policy, that indicates a lack of communication from the company. The rep was, however, able to refund my order with store credit and order a smaller bag of the same product with rush shipping, which was very helpful. So overall, good customer service, poor communication about orders otherwise leading to a frustrating experience.

First of all, let me say that overall I am pleased with my shopping experience at PetFlow. I liked the enticement of the discount on my first five orders and the selection seems really good and, of course, the product that I ordered was great. The only problem that I have is with the shipping. It took six days for the item that I ordered to get to me. I live 45 miles south of Dayton, NJ where it was shipped from. After three days, the item inexplicably traveled from Trenton, NJ to Breinigsville, PA which is 100 miles northwest of my location. This makes zero sense to me. I am used to routinely receiving orders from Chewy in one to two days. If shipping improves on future orders, I will update my rating accordingly.
