Know Your Pet DNA by AncestryReviews of petdna.ancestry.com

This is a total scam!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Whether it’s with know your pet dna ancestors or know your pet dna by biopet. They changed their website and apparently the parent company, which is just a farce. The old website has been shut down and they have opened a new one that is pretty much identical. Except they say they won’t Honor any tests that were sent under the old website. I have tried to contact either company multiple times with no help or useful response. To purchase a kit and send it off only a month or so later for them to say the company is shutting down and moving to a new company, but they won’t Honor your test or provide refunds is unbelievable. Especially given the price of the tests. The whole thing is a massive scam!! DO NOT USE ANYTHING BY BIOPETS LABORTORIES OR KNOW YOUR PET DNA!

ABSOLUTE SCAM. Do not waste your money you will get nothing in return. I sent off kit in October 2025 still on results and into March now. The kit is registered as they sent me confirmation. Im trying to contact them to find out why no results. They have no contact number you can ring no email address you can email only a support centre that doesn't work. When you type in your query it says SORRY WE DON'T RECOGNISE YOUR QUESTION. What a load of bullshit. Biggest waste of 70 euro. Please do not use them

Complete bullshit, literally impossible that the DNA results are correct, matched up breeds that make no sense for the dog.

Sent off samples dec 2025 and still no results. Terrible company, seems they only want your money.

I received the Pet DNA kit as a gift in early December and sent it off a couple of weeks later. Mid January I received the package ‘return to sender’ as it apparently didn’t pass Irish customs regulations (?). Since then I’ve received 2 emails from Ancestry telling me my results will be with me soon? Funny since they’ve never received the actual kit. Total scam

I asked for a DNA Test for my dog for my Xmas Present. My boyfriend didn't research very well and got Ancestry Pet DNA off Amazon because it had 4 stars. We submitted our results almost 2 months ago and they arrived this morning. Excruciatingly long wait. We are aware of our dog is a JRT crossed with a Collie Cross. Ancestry didn't pick any of the Collie's side up and said she was 75% JRT and 2 other terrier breeds. Waste of money. I should've told him to get a refund. So disappointed with the use of AI on their website too. Gross. Could use the money you scam out of people to pay for a stock image license and use real images of dogs rather than AI images of them.

There is no way to select 0 stars, but if i could that would be the rating. we adopted a chihuahua/Jack Russel terrier mix from a shelter and used this joke of a "DNA" test. the test took a long time and when we got the results, it was Husky, German Shepherd and Pit Bull. there is no way there is any husky or shepherd in this little guy. and then try to get customer support? doesnt happen. no response.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Bought this kit on Amazon which stated had 4 stars so figured it was good. Well we got the kit fast, tested the dog and sent it out beginning of December and as of today (which after poor communication, and emailing them constantly- they estimated I’d have results today)… so where are they? Awful company. Being bought out/changing to a different company brand and truthfully wouldn’t recommend them either as they’re probably the same shit show run by the same people. Do NOT use these kits. From ancestry or biopet.
