$200 to talk to advisor
I signed up for a free consultation with an advisor in June when they were offering $200 to do so. Talked to an advisor 3 times. I was considering investing some money, but have lost trust. It is Mid October and never got the $200. Had emailed them and got a generic response. I do like the free tools and found the financial advisor to be friendly and not pushy.

Love the app. Would like to see contribution vs growith in accounts split out
Hey! Awesome app. Love it. One thing that would really help me is understanding the difference easily between contributions to investment accounts and growth to investment accounts. For instance over a year of steady, changing amount contributions to accounts I don't really have a fast grasp of how much I contributed. Also beneficial would be % allocations to accounts. What % of pre/post tax income am I contributing to each account for a monthly/quarter/yearly period? This would be really helpful for benchmarking, accountablility, etc.

Thank you for the feedback. You can customize your view by looking at the Balance Tab at the top right of your screen when you select one of your Investment Accounts from the Net Worth Tab. We unfortunately don't total up the dollar amounts you have contributed per year (you'll need to calculate by looking at the start and end of the year), but you can see how much the account has grown percentage wise if you scroll over the chart and change your settings in your view from 1 day, 30 day, 90 day etc. In the transaction view you can see the description and tags - feel free to customize those so you can get a better sense of each if helpful for a quick glance. The pre/post tax income and yearly contribution % unfortunately you'll need to login to your financial provider/account (i.e. Vanguard etc) to see those as our tool relies on what they share with us - mainly transaction details but as we mentioned above you can custom some of the tagging options to make it easier to see what is what. We hope that helps!

A must have if you're serious about budgeting and saving
If you're serious about tracking your spending and budgeting, personal capital is a must. It really helps see where you spend your money and what you can cut back on. Linking all accounts has been easy and the technology at personal capital seems great. And since it's free, there is no excuse not to get it!!
