Can’t say whether I like it or not, I just need something to balance my bank accounts & coming from Quicken, it is a lot different. I’ll re-rate it again once I’m familiar with how it works.

Personal Capital has been a good system to get a good overview of my financial position but I can't seem to figure out how to use it to do proper budgeting. There may be a way, but to me at least it is not intuitive. But I plan on continuing to try to figure it out.

I started with the online platform two weeks ago...no advisor services needed. At first I was very impressed with the interface and ease of linking accounts.....then it changed. I have had trouble linking two accounts and have submitted web tickets and support emails for a resolution....I'm still waiting. If their support response time is any indication of the service they provide, be wary. I am truly disappointed as I am looking for an alternative to Quicken after 20 years. I'll give it another day or so and then I will be forced to move on. UPDATE: Only two hours after a negative review, I get a response. The response is to submit a support email...which, as I stated, I've done several times. It's disappointing that it took a review to get someone's attention. I really want to like this product. I will update this review as needed. UPDATE 2: Someone reached out and after about a week and several emails, my situation is resolved. As I stated, I want to like this product and can now have full capabilities. If any further updates are needed, I will supply.

The only thing that Personal Capital struggles with is categorizing transactions. It is actually quite terrible and when you change a single manually categorization there is no option to apply it to all other transactions with that name. Mint is much better here.

Thank you for the feedback Ian, we appreciate it and will pass on to our product team.

Worked for most of my accounts, but wouldn't connect to my credit union (through itsme.com a common platform for credit unions) nor my Audi Financial Services account, NOR my Northwestern Mutual account.... So yea, the only account this supported vs.Mint was.... Wait, Mint supported MORE of my accounts!

Okay platform but comes with a lot of bugs and the support team is not much help. It's free so I'm okay with it. Also no incentive to recommend to friends such as referral bonus.
