Wonderful Personal Finance Tool

I use Personal Capital to track my retirement accounts and other investments. I don't use Personal Capital to track my bank accounts or credit cards. I love the detailed information that Personal capital provides for my stock investments. I can quickly and easily tell how well/poor they are performing and compare them to other markets. I also like the retirement planning tools provided.

Personal Capital makes it really easy to view your entire networth in one fell swoop. I use to look through my various brokerage accounts, personal bank accounts, credit cards, Ira's and 401k's all seperately. Now I just sign in to Personal Capital to see everything. . . and for free. I do not use their advisory service, so I can not comment on that. But what i can say is that Personal Capital has made it much easier to see how much I save (and ways to improve my savings), made it easier to rebalance my portfolio, and saved me time from working from my old excel budget spreadsheet. All's I can say is, " Thank you, Personal Capital, for making my life easier."

I used to like personal capital before they grew beyond their operational capacity of their resources. I have several accounts that are not updating and have heard no response from their support representatives in months! Yes months! The turnaround used to several days, then weeks now it's months! Invest in more people please not just your software/GUI. If the data isn't pulling in correctly it's not a useful tool for budgeting, tracking spending, etc. ...garbage in, garbage out right?

There are constant issues logging with institutions especially when it comes to two factor. Can not dynamically track assets which do have daily market feed data metal. can not hide accounts which a person may not wish to be in graphs/reports etc. Personal capital is not bad, but has the potential to be great if they wish to be.

Exceeds my expectations! Works smoothly. Easy to use and the extra security features are impressive. I've come to use it daily.

If you are struggling to get your net worth from negative to positive .. or you are having trouble tracking all your assets at one place. I cannot recommend Personal Capital enough !! It is so easy to use,It will keep you motivated to reach your financial goals. The little things like sending you a "Keep it up" emails every time your net worth reaches new high.. is like a little pat on the back! i really like those emails.
