The rower is excellent. It is a solid piece of work, well-designed and crafted, and as satisfying a rowing experience as I have had off of the water. The assembly instructions were clear and complete, the interaction with the company helpful and prompt. There really is nothing to complain about regarding the rower, but I do have a suggestion about the computer console. As the instructions state, the console is important because it can provide motivation and interest to the workout. But this console, which I assume is a late add-on to the rower, does not match that description. While it provides data on what I have done, there is little that provides motivation other than that data. There is no variety offered; while there is a game program, it doesn't really work as best I can tell. The incentives to varying the stroke speed fail because they are out of reach. I cannot increase the speed quickly enough to grab the incentive (hitting two-dot blocks) at whatever the level of resistance set. And there seems to be no way to alter setting or change the game. My suggestion is that this computer console could easily be upgraded or developed further to enhance its usefulness.
