Keep away! They don't pay their hosts. It's been almost two months since I hosted a video shoot and still have not been paid (account is stuck in a "routine review") They referred me to Stripe, and stripe referred me back to peerspace, four times now - with each loop taking a week to ten days and multiple email interactions - and neither side wants to do anything or take responsibility. Phone calls go unanswered. An email to their CEO went unanswered without even the courtesy of a response from anyone. Plus, you don't really get many bookings through them anyway. They're not worth the effort or risk.

We operate a small event venue in New Jersey and have had an extremely frustrating experience with Peerspace. We successfully hosted an event through the platform in October 2026, but have still not received our $320 payout as of October 19. Despite repeatedly submitting the requested banking information and identity-verification documents, we continue to receive conflicting updates. Peerspace confirmed that our banking information was approved and that our payment was processing. A senior Trust & Safety representative also assured us that the failed payout had been reinitiated. However, we subsequently received another notice stating that our payment account was restricted and warning that our venue listing could be deactivated unless additional requirements were completed. We understand the importance of payment security and identity verification. What concerns us is the repeated requests, inconsistent communications, and lack of a clear resolution after multiple attempts to comply. We have documented our experience and submitted a formal complaint to the appropriate state agency. We hope Peerspace takes these concerns seriously and improves its communication, verification procedures, and support for venue hosts. Based on our experience, we would encourage other venue operators to understand the platform’s payout process before accepting reservations.

They charge a fortune for acting as a middleman. You’re much better off doing your own research and booking directly with local studios.

My home is listed on several platforms and Peerspace is by far the worst by a country mile. They are only interested in profiteering from you as a host and legitimate complaints about guests are never addressed adequately nor investigated fairly. Even when guests violate the terms of their rental terms, they will not honour any guarantees for me as host nor penalize the guest. Beware all hosts!! Peerspace’s default position is to keep guests on side no matter the cost to hosts. Needless to stay, I am pleased to have no further association with this organisation and their questionable practices and will gladly deal with my other delightful agents and online platforms.

An unbelievably frustrating experience. After nearly three weeks and dealing with at least six different support people, Peerspace still could not manage to get my account and property properly set up. I repeatedly followed their instructions, yet kept getting passed from one person to another, often receiving generic responses that seemed to ignore everything that had already been discussed. Eventually, I just threw in the towel. If it takes nearly three weeks and six support people just to become a host, I can only imagine what dealing with an actual booking or payment problem would be like. I set up with a competitor without these issues. Peerspace made it far too difficult to simply become their customer, and I finally asked them to delete my account and personal information. A complete waste of my time.

I booked a venue through Peerspace for a milestone celebration. Unfortunately, when I arrived AT THE PROPERTY, (20 MINUTES before my event was starting) I was informed that the venue was unavailable and my event could not proceed!! I had not received any advance notice from the host before arriving and they in NO WAY tried to contact me. I had incurred significant event expenses, including food, decorations, and other items that had been purchased and picked up before arriving at the venue. I submitted receipts and requested reimbursement for these losses. Peerspace denied my claim because they said I did not provide documentation showing the expenses were non-refundable. When I offered to obtain signed statements from my vendors confirming the purchases were non-refundable after pickup, I was then informed that their investigation had been closed and they would not review any additional documentation. What I found most frustrating was that I was first told additional documentation was needed, but when I attempted to provide exactly what they requested, I was told it would not be considered because the decision was final. I am disappointed with how the reimbursement process was handled. I even wrote a review of the venue space on their website, but when I logged in my event was "cancelled" so that meant they didn't have to publish my review.

They need better customer service. As a host it takes forever nowadays to get things approved. You would think with all this technology they would move faster. I also been emailing and no response. This platform is terrible nowadays.

Peerspace is not customer friendly, and with the addition of AI to serve you...IT'S EVEN WORSE!!! Wanted to shoot a cooking video, and their AI would only show me living rooms and rooftop bars. It's terrible how people think computers are smarter than humans when it's humans who have to input the data for it to be of any use. Had to jump through hoops to get a so-called human on the chat who was very nasty and unprofessional.
