I had a terrible experience with Payne and will never use them again. I ordered two pairs of glasses and when they arrived found that the frame measurements listed on the website were highly inaccurate. Both pairs looked child-sized on my face but were supposedly the same size as the ones I was already wearing. They were also very flimsy and cheap. The biggest issue was the visual quality. Although I believe the prescription was correct, there was a lot of distortion in the lenses. When I reached out to customer service, I got no response for weeks. I finally called and spoke to someone, and then what ensued was 50 plus text messages of back and forth over four months, with them trying to blame me or my optometrist for the problem. They insisted that I be seen by an optometrist to verify my prescription. I made and appointment and took the Payne glasses in to my optometrist who told me that the lens curvature was incorrect for the strength of my prescription. So, in other words, Payne crafted the lenses incorrectly. When I informed the rep, she finally caved and offered me a 50% discount on the lenses (because the return window had passed due to their initial lack of response (how generous). They checked with the lab and told me they had frames that would accommodate my lens curvature. The kicker was they literally only had ONE PAIR of frames that would work. ONE. And they were hideous and too small for my face, which I have a normal sized adult face. My optometrist said that is bull patty (can't use bad language) and that frames can accommodate a wide range of curvatures. Wary of the labs lack of knowledge I said no thanks. Basically, I paid them for nothing. The overall experience was a nightmare. If you have a higher strength prescription I would advise you to run from Payne. Their customer service gaslights you, they are amateurs, and they will have nothing to offer you in the way of frames and lenses that will work. Why would the lab not understand lens curvature is important? That’s a huge concern. Payne is the fast food of eyeglasses.

I had to exchange my frames on my very first order. The customer service was awesome!!! They took care of me, answered my questions promptly and made sure I was happy with my purchase. Wide range of selections and the prices, wow! It’s quality for sure! I will be ordering my prescription glasses here from now on and would definitely recommend!
