We completely understand—PD can be one of the less intuitive parts of ordering glasses online. An optician tip for next time: ask the last place you purchased glasses if they have your PD on file, or ask to have it measured at your next eye exam. Many optical offices will do this at no charge or for a small fee, and having an accurate dual PD (a separate measurement for each eye) is especially valuable for multifocal lens wearers. At-home tools can be helpful, but they do have limitations, which is why we still offer the traditional ruler method as well. It may feel a little old-fashioned and admittedly isn’t the most user-friendly part of ordering online, but a carefully taken manual measurement can be very reliable. And when your glasses arrive, if anything about the vision doesn’t seem right, please reach out—our team and opticians are here to support you.
