Even if an already pay for the puppy…
Even if an already pay for the puppy I’m still waiting for her, really not a good experience at all. The puppy supposed to come last week; a lot of excuses were given, at the time to pay everything was very fast from our side, very disappointed Pawrade.
Response from PawradeJan 24, 2024
It is true that the delivery Genny's pup was delayed. The USDA requires that a pup be 12 weeks or 2 pounds, whichever comes first, before leaving for its new home. On very small breeds like the Chihuahua that Genny purchased this results in the pup having to wait and not being able to travel like the typical larger breeds at 8 weeks. This is 100% for the health and safety of the pup and we will not and can not put the pup at risk for the sake of an eager puppy parent. We do understand this can be disappointing and we are monitoring the pup closely so that it can go to its new forever home as soon as safely possible.

I am so happy that I went with Pawrade
I am so happy that I went with Pawrade to get my little fluff ball home. The process was simple and seamless and the staff was very helpful along the entire journey. I would recommend Pawrade to anyone who is looking to get a new fur baby. There are a lot of websites advertising cute puppies, but you really don’t know where you’re getting them from. I had no issue in trusting that my little baby would come from a reliable breeder.

Pet came with Giardia, still can’t get rid of it.
As the Pawrade team is extremely helpful the all in all experience after receiving my puppy has been a nightmare. She was delivered at 12am and I had an apt at 12 pm the same day. She was diagnosed with Giardia, which was blatantly obvious bc her stomach was large, so we knew it wasn’t normal. By this time, she had already been introduced to my other pet by which she infected him. I got my puppy in late November. It is now mid-January and as of today I have to re-start treatment for the both of them. Again! They say puppies are pre-screened, had this been the case she should’ve never left her breeder without being treated first. It’s honestly been a nightmare. I almost regret the whole thing and would’ve rather just stayed a single pet home. Mind you, my home is not dirty, I have a toddler and infant so I know things need to be sterile and well maintained. But this is a stubborn parasite. What Pawrade needs to do is have a full pet health check, including stool samples, before letting these pups go to their new home.
Update 2/6/24
Received my test results back for the 2nd (existing pup) and 3rd time (Pawrade pup), and my dogs both still show a positive Giardia test. After my “umpteenth” call with the doctor, he felt best to “stop treatment” as it’s been numerous rounds already and that my pup SHOULD develop a stronger immune system as she gets older. He said about 8-9 months. SO, with this being said, it is expected to keep my existing dog separated from the new pup for a few more months. While this might be ideal for some, it is a complete hassle for me and the normal folk. I have bought disposable blankets to lay down for bedding each day, disposable food and water bowls to throw out during each feeding, bleached the floor every night to every other night, and have given them frequent baths before, during, and after treatment and to no avail, here we are, in February. I talked my vet into 1 more round of treatment as I have little ones at home, but this is the last of my efforts.
*Update 1/28 in response to Pawrade*
I’m not sure who said Giardia was “easy to treat,” but this is in no way true. After the first failed treatment, I did research on my own because as much fun as it is to spend $100 per treatment and $100 per fecal test, this x2 dogs x2-3 treatments now, gets quite expensive. After a round of treatment, mind you the dogs have to be separated, you have to wait at least 1 week to re-test the fecal sample. So, treatment is initially 2 weeks because you have to keep dogs separated during that time. I have had my dogs separated since November 28/29 whenever she arrived. I am waiting to re-test again this week. IT IS JANUARY 28th! If you do proper research you learn that the floor, their water, their food, their bedding, their toys have to be cleaned, bleached daily! This is in NO way easy.
I honestly don’t believe the fecal test before leaving the breeder. The moment she came to us, within that very 20 minutes, she had explosive diarrhea with traces of blood. I kid you not. So I highly doubt this was something that just randomly brewed up during transport. And she eats her own poop. Which is a whole other subject I researched and is open for discussion on the quality of life before getting her. But if this was “dormant” then maybe Pawrade should look into a different transporting service they offer clients if the one they use doesn’t properly disinfect their vehicles. (What’s the point of a health check if you put them in a box with wheels that’s infected before arriving?!) Furthermore, if it “lies dormant” then she already had it before transport and was treated. That means the breeder kept alllllll of the puppies separated during and after treatment. It’s just really hard to believe that.
Just the all in all update as of 1/28/24, my pups have not been together since the first day I brought her home in LATE November. Guardia is an extremely hard parasite to get rid of, especially with multiple dogs. If you don’t believe me, research it. I have a master’s degree from a research institution, so I’m not unfamiliar with how to look up facts and information. My dog before her didn’t start showing symptoms until a few days after being exposed to her. So my best advice is if you get a new pup from here, keep your dogs separated, do not introduce to one another, until after the first check up. Even then, keep them in a place that’s easy to clean Incase they are infected. (I had to get my carpets cleaned).
I would ask a lot, and I mean a lot, of questions about your interest in a pup about the breeder and the conditions because treatment can get very expensive!
They say “don’t forget to submit your claim” but it lasts 30 days. This lasts maybe 1 treatment with the duration of the wait time after finishing treatment.
As I mentioned. I almost regret the whole experience. Thanks anyway though Pawrade.

Hey Randi, we are so sorry to hear that your pup has contracted Giardia. All of our pups do get a complete head to toe exam before leaving for their new homes. This does include a fecal test. Sometimes the Giardia lies dormant but the stress of travel weakens the pups immune system and allows it to flare up. Giardia is extremely common in pups and is usually easily treatable. If you have not already be sure to submit your vet documents to [email protected] to open a health guarantee claim.
