SAVE YOURSELF FROM LONG-TERM HEART…
SAVE YOURSELF FROM LONG-TERM HEART ACHE!!!! 🐾💔 After losing my Italian greyhound in April 2024, I began doing a wealth of research online for a new puppy. I read about so many scams where people take your money and do not send you a puppy that I lost site of what was REALLY important....that being, where the dog is coming from and how healthy will it be when it arrives. Eventually, I reached out to Pawrade to get additional information. As the process began, my concierge assured me that I would not lose my money and that I would receive a puppy. As I got more comfortable with the fact that I would not lose my money I went ahead and put a deposit down. Previously, I had been working with a local breeder in Washington state who is a top breeder/famous for her high quality IGs. When I told her I ordered my puppy, I sent her a photo. I did not tell her that I went through Pawrade or give her any details. She immediately recognized the photo and told me who the breeder was and said that she runs one of the worst puppy mills out there. She sent me articles and a petition signed by over 1200 people to shut down Kim's puppy mill. I ended up connecting with Kim directly and it proved that she is indeed running a puppy mill. I asked her how much time she spends with the puppies and she said she gets out there 'now and then' which is not acceptable. These puppies need to be socialized on a daily basis in order to be healthy. She also sent me several 'staged videos'. The mom and the puppies all looked very scared. It was as if they weren't used to being around people. At first, I thought I could fix the puppy with a lot of love once it arrives, but then I did further reading on the damage it does to puppies who are born in puppy mills. I previously had three Italian greyhounds that all came from puppy mills (unbeknownst to me) and they were sick the minute they arrived, and none of them lived to be 13 years of age. I spent TONS of money on medical expenses and health issues right out the gate. This is due to the fact that these poor little puppies (& parents) are living in very poor conditions, often eating food that is covered in feces and bugs. They do not get proper veterinary care and the breeders often start breeding siblings, which causes further problems. Many of them come with damaged or flat feet from standing on hard surfaces or wires. They also breed the mothers far too many times and then they 'discard' the parents when they are no longer useful. 😔 The information I read about puppy mill dogs was EXACTLY what I went through with my last three Italian greyhounds and I cannot afford to do it again emotionally or financially. I read review after review stating that puppies arrive with kennel cough/infections & they need immediate immunotherapy, which is costly. Others come with parvo, Gerardia and other serious diseases. Seizures are often common at young ages and pulmonary/kidney issues & congestive heart failure at early ages is common - all 3 of My past dogs went thru most everything above & it was horrible. Some of the puppies mental states are so bad that they stare off into space and do not react to humans. Others have problems with fear of other dogs and they never adjust. Basically, they do not get a good start in life and it carries through all the way to their early heartbreaking demise. When I voiced my legit concerns about the breeder to my concierge, she said that 'people change and maybe this breeder has gotten better'. 🤔 That alone shows me that they are not sticking to their claim about not working with puppy mills! Obviously they are lacking in that department and need to get on it so these puppies are healthy. Regardless when I cancelled my order the previously overly friendly concierge suddenly got angry and dropped off on me. After that, they told me they would not refund my deposit. I am currently filing a claim on that part as this whole thing is fraudulent. If you want a dog, they will deliver, but I read many many reviews where The dogs were extremely ill. Several of them had puppies delivered that died within three days and they were not refunded by Pawrade. CAUTION TO ALL WHO WANT 'HEALTHY' PUPS! If they don't care where their puppies are going, they are most likely a puppy mill. Work with a local breeder to avoid this!!!!!! Best of luck!!

Trudy, we carefully vet all of our breeders and ensure that they have all the appropriate licenses from the USDA as well as their home state. They are regularly inspected as well. We also closely monitor each and every sale for any health issue with the pups so that we can track any issues and address any issues that arise. Your breeder does a fantastic job with providing happy and healthy pups and certainly is not a puppy mill by any stretch. It does strike us as odd that you were working with a breeder but didn't buy from them and then they told you the breeder you did choose was a "puppy mill". That would certainly cause most folks to question the source of this opinion. We are also sorry to hear of all your bad past experiences. But honestly that has nothing to do with us or the breeder. Listing off all these issues and implying it is somehow relevant here is very unfair and irresponsible. You can find negative reviews on any business. If there are no negative reviews that should cause you to question the legitimacy of the available information. And anyone can post anything they want here with no repercussions. Even though folks with a negative opinion are far more likely to post than those that are pleased we still have an exceptional rating here at Trustpilot with thousands of 5 star reviews.
