Pup is great, some Pawrade reservations...

Positives: The puppy was in good health, the website is easy to use, and validation of buyers identity is on point. They communicate well. With that being said, there are many things I expect (from years of exposure to dog breeders and dog shows). 1. They typically want you to come to their facility. 2. They want you to meet the litter and show off the dam (sometimes the sire but usually just the dam). 3. They want to meet you themselves and gauge if you're a good dog parent. Pawrade misses the mark on items 1 and 2, but I think they are fairly decent on item 3. The breeders are kept secret from buyers. We don't get to know their name, we don't get to see their facility, or even video clips of the facility. They finally got us on a Zoom call so we could see two of the puppies left from the litter, but the dam wasn't there and they refused to let us see her. We could only see the dog play area. The people on the call was one Pawrade employee and two kennel workers. We pressed them to meet the dam...oh well you can't pick up from the breeder you have to meet them in a random parking lot. So then we asked, well, can they bring the dam with them to the pickup location? Their response was ridiculous, essentially "oh the dam could get sick, they don't want to take her anywhere, this is their income and they aren't going to risk it by letting a dam get sick." That is the most absurd excuse I have ever heard. A reputable breeder isn't making a living at it-it's a hobby. Furthermore, a dam should not have more than 5 litters in her lifetime-which doesn't exactly pay the bills. And the odds of a dog getting parvo are extremely slim in that situation, it is usually spread in kennels. I had to show my driver's license to prove my identity. The breeders have to show nothing to us as buyers. Pawrade keeps them anonymous. Pawrade needs to create some transparency on the breeder's side. Otherwise how can I trust them? Edit: I'm disappointed Pawrade is doubling down on things I find objectionable in their response and continue to act like I am new to having dogs. Additionally, I still do not know who the breeder was.

Hey Jon, thank you for choosing Pawrade and trusting us to help you find your new furry family member. Sadly we do know that there are quite a few shady operators out there and folks have to be careful. First, I would like to note that you did get exactly the pup you chose in a completely safe and secure transaction. No worries of scams or rip-offs. Also, thank you for acknowledging that once you picked up your pup your concerns were ''mostly alleviated''. Respectfully, I have to disagree with some of your issues. We don't keep the breeder completely secret. However we do not give the breeder your information until it is time for the pup to get their head to toe exam. We don't give you the breeder's information until the health exam is completed and the pup is ready to go home. This is to ensure that ALL communication goes through us and is audio recorded or is documented in writing. This keeps everyone ''honest'' and ensures that there is no miscommunication, misunderstanding and that we can ensure all goes smoothly for everyone involved. Once the pup clears it's health exam all the vet documents are uploaded to your Pet Pay account with all the breeder's information displayed. This is typically 3 to 5 days before the pup would begin travel to you or you would pick up the pup. It is true that we require our breeder's to meet in a neutral, public location. This is at the advice of most law enforcement agencies that we are aware of and for the safety of all. We do not ban our breeders from taking a Dam to a pick up. It is up to their best judgement as ultimately they would have to deal with any fallout. It is possible that the dam could pick up Parvo or something else contagious and cause issues upon their return. It is not rare for an entire kennel to be quarantined due to a Parvo outbreak for example. We have breeders that do it strictly professionally and it is their only source of income. They have amazing facilities custom built just to provide a perfect environment to breed top quality puppies. We also have breeders who may have another career but certainly do count on the pup breeding income to provide for their families on varying levels. It is not up to me to discuss what your breeder's financial situation may be. We thoroughly vet all of our breeders. We ensure that all our breeders have all the required licensing and inspections from the USDA as well as any local agencies required for their location. We would never conduct business with a puppy mill and no puppy mill would ever meet our standards. We decline far more applications from breeders than we approve and actual ''puppy mills'' don't bother to apply. They know better. Ultimately we are happy to hear that we were able to help you adopt the perfect pup for you. And we do appreciate your honest review and input. We appreciate any opportunity to make adjustments to improve our process for our wonderful clients.

Pawrade was amazing to work with
Pawrade was amazing to work with. They were very professional. They communicated every step of the process and explained every step of the way to us. I got my boy who is happy and extremely healthy and playful. I highly recommend pawrade. Without pawrade I would still be looking for a belgian malinois as it is hard to find a full breed in colorado. Thank you pawrade I truly appreciate ya'll and the wonderful experience and customer service! Ya'll rock!!!

Communication
Communication! They were quick to respond to my email and then give a phone call. Once the purchase was made for a puppy, the open line of communication continued. I was kept abreast of everything that was expected of me. They made it very simple. I received emails with details explaining what I needed to do. The Pet Carriers were also awesome as well. They arrived within the time frame they sent me. They had no problems in their travels, so that made it happen. The guy was super nice. The puppy has adjusted well as seems to have come from a good breeder who cares about the well being of dogs. This puppy is super happy and adjusting well. I would definitely recommend this company.
