Pathrise taught me the principles of finding a new career. I came straight out of academia with no experience, but they taught me many useful strategies for getting more interviews, succeeding in those interviews, and improving my network. With those skills, I was able to land a job in a few months after joining. You will need to put in a lot of effort to make changes to your job application strategy, but Pathrise is there to help you do that. I found weekly check-in sessions with mentors to be the most helpful component of this program.

The Pathrise program is very comprehensive in its approach to job placement. I have been learning from my interactions with industry mentors and career counselors as well as from weekly workshops. Not only do I feel less isolated and confused but I have also been learning more about myself and what kinds of roles are best suited for my personality and skill set.

My experience with Pathrise was exceptional. First and foremost, the outcome was better than my imagination allowed going into the program. The support, the tools, the content were all spectacular. I had apprehension going into the program because it was too good to be true, that I would secure the caliber employment they claimed I would be able to, mid-pandemic. I was falling on my face interview after interview at jobs I didn't really want prior to becoming a fellow. They assured me that I would get the role I wanted and I got a role that was better than what I wanted.

I enjoyed my time. Pathrise was a good step to keep me focused and work towards my goal while improving my interview skills. They were Job focused making sure you secure a job you are happy with. I was given realistic feedback and goals. They were wonderful and people oriented I recommend to those that are finding difficulty or hiccups in finding a job.

When I started with Pathrise, I had no luck securing a job for eight months. COVID time has been crazy, and I was also focusing on career transition, which was very tough. My resume was no appealing enough, and I did not crack interviews for the position I liked. After I joined Pathrise, I learned about various interview processes, how to tackle assignments, and how I can do better with behavioral and product design interviews. I reached the final round of interview and assignment presentation for an upcoming well-funded startup. I got multiple interviews at Amazon and even at Google. I would not have expected that to happen without Pathrise. The career and industry mentors work one on one for various types of interviews. Someone is available to give the right guidance or help with a mock interview. Job searching is a draining process and, make sure to remind you of your abilities. It has been three months for me now, and I am happy with my progress. I would highly recommend them. They have industry experts and coaches, who can guide you in the right direction with various strategies and company insights. I am confident that not only I will find good job but the knowledge and insight I gained will help me in the future as well.

Pathrise is what you make out of it. How much work you put in is correlated to how much you get out of the program. As a new grad with no prior work experience, Pathrise helped me land a job at a large established tech company in the Bay Area with a 6 figure salary (which was a lot more than what I expected). For me, it was definitely worth it. I attended pretty much every single event Pathrise offered for 5 months while continuously studying algorithms/data structures full time. My interview skills skyrocketed as a result of this. But I also have friend who did not find much success with this program. If you are the type of person to utilize office hours in school, you will probably find Pathrise extremely useful. However, if you do not put in the time and effort into improving your skills, chances are Pathrise will not be worth your time. I initially found out about Pathrise because I was cold emailed many times. At first, I thought it was spam and ignored these emails. Eventually, I responded out of curiosity, and began doing some research about the program. I was hesitant to join the program at first because of some negative posts/comments on reddit. However, I decided to check out the program via the trial period anyways - it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Overall, I am very glad I joined Pathrise. The weekly career mentoring kept me in check, making sure I was efficiently utilizing my time. The weekly support events (mock interview, pair programming, technical workshops) made studying for interviews a lot more structured/enjoyable because of the well thought out curriculum and the like minded peers that are in the same boat as you. The technical 1 on 1 sessions (mostly mock interviews) helped me tremendously in terms on my technical interview skills (make sure to schedule them consistently if you want to make the most out of the program). TLDR: Pathrise is what you make out of it. Treat it as office hours, and job hunting as your Full Time job. Put in the time and effort, and it will be worth it :)
