I recently bought the GoChess Mini, and I'm really happy with it. The board looks amazing. The LED lights work really well and make it easy to see the moves. It is a fun way to play and learn chess again after not playing for like 20 years. When I received the board, I had one problem. It connected to my iPhone without any issues, but it would not connect to my iPad. I tried everything myself, including updating my iPad, resetting it to factory settings, and reinstalling the app, but nothing worked. I contacted Particula support, and they replied within a day. They were friendly and really wanted to help. They asked me to do a firmware update, even though the app did not show that a firmware update was available. After updating the board, everything worked perfectly, and my iPad connected without any issues. The steps they sent me were: 1. Connect GoChess to your iPhone. 2. Enter the Board Management Menu. 3. Tap 6 times on the area of the board name and Firmware status (the grey text under "My Board"), even if it says the firmware is up to date. 4. A firmware update pop-up will appear, and you can start the process. 5. Disconnect from your iPhone and try to connect on your iPad. I really appreciate that they did not just send a standard reply. They looked into the problem and found the solution. I looked at many different smart chess boards before buying this one, and I'm really happy that I chose the GoChess Mini. The board is amazing, the app works great, and the customer support is one of the best I have experienced, even when you buy it from an external seller on Bol.com.
