Simply the best lag free experience. Still waiting for Steam Deck and iOS clients, that is why I docked a star. It allows almost lag free internet gaming and access to your PC over the internet. The other reviewers don't know what they're talking about. There is no hacking. If you accidentally give access to your whole PC to someone, they can do whatever they want. So, make sure to use a very strong password and 2FA.

impossible to use
impossible to use. Won't retain password, won't allow password reset via email. Absolute horrible user experience. None of the buttons actually go where they need to. Have to "authenticate" all the time but can't because it refuses to save an obscenely long password requirement. Won't show the password as you type. Won't send an account recovery email. Won't open.

Parsec becoming to be the worst?!
Parsec is known for great low latency and great bitrates. Right? Well, I guess not. Choppy screen, 4-second latency is what you actually get. What a ripoff. Just wanted to connect to a MacBook and do simple tasks. It takes me about 3 hours longer due to troubleshooting + the ragged experience. I hope others find out how bad this software is. Went through 10 articles, none of them work. Maybe don't lie about how good your services is, as it creates huge expectation. I also want you to lower the latency, so you get better quality reviews. Maybe you would have gotten five stars if you were HONEST about your things. I know you don't care, but I hope a new user stumbles across this and save themselves a lot of time. What a swindle for people's money. Thanks for wasting my time.

Constant connection issues, NO REFUND…
The app has constant connection problems! I addressed the connection my staff regularly has with the reps and senior folks. The troubleshooting never worked, we still had issues. We got frustrated using an app that doesn't work, so then we requested a refund for the 8 months of the year left that we won't use it, but they refused to do so without doing a 5th or 6th tech call with them about the issues. Super frustrating. At this point, we were ready to move on because there has been more than enough communication and more than enough troubleshooting, but they refused to give us back our money for a non-consistently working app. Can't recommend that anyone uses this app at this point.
***UPDATE: I finally got my refund, but of course only after I said I'm just going to post about it since they were stealing my money. I never would have left this review if they hadn't given me such a hassle to get my hard-earned money back.

Playing games with randoms | Gamegrumps uses it
The GOOD:
Simple software to connect to other people. You can enable a friend to control your PC for digital editing, like 3D and Photoshop, or gaming, like map editing and playing The Sims together.
Arcade mode is a similar experience except you can restrict access to only the currently active window for gaming or watching a show. Arcade is where randos pop in and out of whatever is being hosted for literal drop-in gaming.
While you set the buttons on your gamepad, in-game controls are set on the host-side, and can include gamepad (default), keyboard and/or mouse.
The MAYBE
The Parsec team suggests a VPN could reduce the connection, causing jitters in multiplayer, and VPN sites say Parsec reveals your IP. In the past, players of online games would troll others by telling their IP in chat, so it all sounds like scare-tactics to me.
If the host has poor internet, the client will receive heavy pixilation & smudging, and input delay. So far, my connection has been pretty expected from connecting to strangers.
Some people do experience no sound from the host. The Parsec team has so many resolutions listed that it sounds like they don't know why. My latest host fixed it by also streaming the game over Discord, so it's not a problem with their computer.
The BAD:
4 of 5 stars because there is no way to report a streamer for 'playing' hardcore pornography. Even bringing it up on their Discord yields 0 replies.
The UGLY:
As it's remote-desktop software, giving users access to keyboards for gaming could potentially enable them to run the system shutdown code off a macro, or sending a link to the Run command. Haven't tried, and I'm wary about hosting a game.
