Just got back today from Mersey island park resorts , the caravan which was a gold was very nice which was a good start but we went over to the boat house for a meal totally disappointed ☹️ I found the bar staff not very friendly when we got our meal my husbands was steak and ale pie the pastry on the pie was so hard you couldn’t cut it and the dinner was un,eatable as was mine when u pay nearly £17 a meal it’s not good 😡 of course I no nothing will done but won’t stay with them ever again

South view skegness. Very nice park but we are very disappointed we booked a lodge with a hot tub but were refused extra towels for the hot tub even though we paid over £1800 for the week Also the on site gym has no air con till after 8am even though it opens at 730 . Punishing trying to do cardio in a room with no air con

Entertainment and facilities, swimming pool etc. Very good. Caravan disappointing, needed a good clean, No broom or cleaner. This attracted more ants. Put you up in lounge very uncomfortable. Windows filthy with bird poo. Two large holes in grass outside caravan which someone could break an ankle, as it was we only had a bad sprain.

The caravan was lovely wasn’t anything to clean with such as sponges but wasn’t a big deal! We first got there the tv was broken but they fixed it within a couple of hours which was brilliant! The restraunts on site are far too expensive if you’re looking for a budget holiday we ended up on a budget having to cook for the last couple of night because we was spending 30 pound alone on lunch so if we was to eat out everyday for lunch and dinner and pay for the entertainment and everything else it would be way over our budget, the staff in the boathouse need to be trained up a bit more I was asked to work out how much change I was owed on my first day on the calculator on her phone but they was very kind, the pool staff on the other hand are horrid we went swimming on the first day and within 5 minutes we was moaned at 3 times once was because the children went into a different pool without us we was literally about to follow them I had a baby in my arms the next time was because the kids was using the floats? Didn’t realise the kids wasn’t allowed to use them they shouldn’t be sat there as obviously kids are going to take them and use them! Then this was the funniest one my partners son got told off for splashing in a pool ( a adults pool) yes that’s right splashing in a swimming pool 🙄 because the lifeguard didn’t want to get wet what a joke 🙄 they sat there quite obviously slagging us off made us feel very uncomfortable

Just been to summer fields in great Yarmouth. You couldn't ask for mush better, but for the 2 nights we were there we eat in califonia cliffs. The 1st night was bad but we didn't say anything it was just a one off. So went back a second time, well how wrong were we the worst steak & worst burger you could ever imagine eating. I have honestly never tasted so bad or dry In. My life they were black just like my mixed grill the night before. Worst food on a parkresorts ever next time I will live on sandwiches when back if ever but definitely not to eat. When I mentioned it to a manager the answer was ah well nobody else complains as he walks away. Yeah cheers mate customer services top class

Our stay was at Breydon Water Burgh Castle Norfolk, 3 generations in a touring caravan. The pool was good although overcrowded and visits were therefore time limited. The Gym equipment was better than expected but lack of any ventilation made it very uncomfortable. The only shower option at the gym was an open unisex shower which also served the entry to the swimming pool, less than ideal after a workout. The entertainment area and children's playground area was good and very popular. There were clothes washing and drying machines in a designated laundry area but unfortunately there were no dedicated facilities to wash out clothes by hand - the only option was the wash rooms or the dishwashing area, very unsatisfactory. The toilet/shower block left a lot to be desired. The tiled floor was covered in a blue plastic covering with holes in it so that any dirt walked into the toilet block remained stuck in the plastic covering. On an 8 day stay we saw the plastic covering removed and washed only once. It was disappointing that there were no toilet brushes available to provide an acceptable state of cleanliness of the toilet for the following user. The size of the toilet/shower facilities on the touring/camping field was inadequate for the number of campers and the level of cleanliness could be much improved. The camping pitches were not separated by any walkway so that campers walking to the toilet/shower block walked through our pitch and that of our neighbour in a constant stream, even when we were having a meal outside. This could be easily solved by the provision of a marked walkway to provide access.

Just disappointed with the overall experience. Does not represent good value for money in my opinion.

Was at Sandylands staying in one of their top of the price range caravans with balcony over a long weekend from 16th March - 19th March. Caravan was cosmetically lovely to look at but downright uncomfortable to sit in or sleep in. It appears that you need to be less than 5' in height to get the most out of their rock hard sofa's and uncomfortable beds. I am 5'4" tall yet I found the seating too low to rise from with ease & the bed again the same problem. Cooking on the stove was also a nightmare, as the oven took too long to cook anything, cooking on the hob or using the toaster set off the smoke alarm, so microwave meals was the only solution. I have reviewed Sandylands a few years back with their Bronze or lowest priced caravan & although I wasn't expecting the luxuries of home from home, found those caravans cold & non functional - hence why I opted for a higher spec this time around. Don't get me wrong, the higher spec caravan is very pleasing to the eye & will serve a purpose, but at those prices, I expect the caravans to be functional, comfortable & similar to home. What I experienced was back pain & bad meals. TV & central heating was perfect, although there was no promised DVD player. Overall impression is that unless I was really stuck & prepared to pay through the nose for a morsal of comfort just because it is the closest to home - use a hotel instead - you might not have as much space but you get what you pay for.
