Navin and his staff are top notch! I have been using the painting services of Paintedfigs since 2017 and I have never been disappointed. I always get exhibition quality for my minis and they always turn out amazing and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Paintedfigs!

This is the second time I've used Paintedfigs, based on positive experience in 2018, and they didn't disappoint. The process was very smooth: I shared the initial concept with the team, they provided feedback on what would be achievable and at what quality level, and then we iterated for a week or so to fine tune the design. Then I mailed my miniatures to them and waited. Communications were very good throughout this: I felt very comfortable knowing that my miniatures had arrived, and where they were in the painting stage. The team was also very responsive when I had other requests not in the original spec: I'd forgotten to specify the basing material for the miniatures, or what to do with the decals, but that was all easily solved with Navin and the rest of the team providing suggestions and examples that they'd used elsewhere. Finally, although it took a while (I mailed the miniatures in December, they got into the queue in March) the painting was pretty quick; I received my miniatures less than 2 weeks after they'd been mailed back from Sri Lanka, and what I got back was exactly what I was expecting, because throughout they'd updated with photos of the work in progress. I recommend paintedfigs to everyone I know who's looking to get miniatures painted. It's worth emphasising that you should put some time in ahead of the commission, to figure out exactly what you want; a moving target is hard to hit so I make sure that when I talk to Navin and team, we've got a totally unambiguous guide to what the output should be. That's not hard to do: we share a powerpoint doc with photos of the miniatures, annotated to identify the colour scheme, along with a lookbook of what we want them to resemble (there's a big difference between telling somebody 3,000 miles away "paint these to look cool" and "use this specific colour scheme with these four real-world examples to guide colour selection") but you definitely want to do this to ensure everyone is aligned on what the final output should be.

I have averaged 1 large commission with PaintedFigs each year for the last 8 years. I enjoy the straightforward process and excellent communication. Everything is spelled out clearly in the Excel spreadsheets they use for pricing and instructions. I'm always very excited to review the pictures they send and have not been disappointed with the quality of the work. They are professional, polite, and easy to work with. I highly recommend.

This is my 4th time using Painted figs on large batch projects for various life-style campaigns board games! Every single time they have blown my expectations out of the water for an almost unbeliever price and quality ratio! The process always starts out the same with quick communication replies during their business day hours(I’m from USA so it would generally be me sending an email and having a reply by the next morning). Price is broken down into their 3 quality tiers. The higher tier will really does get you a higher quality for those big beautiful pieces…. totally worth it for ones with lots of detail work you don’t want missed! The process and timelines are always explained and if I had any questions a thorough and detailed response would be provided that always cleared up and concerns I had. This company has had the best shipping and handling imaginable! Every single miniature is hand packed and precisely wrapped in protective foam wrap with rubber bands to not have them shift or miss any game pieces. I will most certainly be returning with any future work I need done!

The communication was always very forthright with clear upfront pricing and many updates along the way. This group was so easy to work with and has such quality and care in their work that I have since this first comission with them sent two more! You can't get a better deal at this pricepoint anywhere online!!

Awesome work they do depending on what kinda off quality paint u want. But vary pleased an satisfied with the work they do would keep using for future projects

TLDR: The ideal studio to work with; collaboration, communication, quality, price, and customer service are all five stars. Painted Figs is ideal for studio painting of miniatures. Their collaborative process is fantastic, including picture references, instruction sheets, and frequent communications when relevant. It is standard practice for them to respond to any email you send them within 24 hours, with the exception of weekends or holidays. In addition, their prices are among the lowest available on the market while supplying high levels of quality. I would even go so far as to say that the pictures on their website galleries do not do them justice. I used two other studios before Painted Figs and they are several orders of magnitude above the others. The best thing about Painted Fig's service is when they give you a gallery of the models they have painted for you, you are invited to find any and all mistakes and report them via pictures and notes. When I found details to correct, they never once gave me any trouble about it. They accept it as part of the business. Other studios constantly gave pushback, would gaslight me, or outright ignored my requests! To date I've gotten six or so large batches of Warhammer 40k models painted with them and have been thoroughly satisfied with each. They will always be my first choice for painting studio.

Been using them for years. They are incredibly honest. Their pricing is more than fair; their quality is as good as those who charge 3 times the amount. I've given them some odd requests (like painting my Gloomhaven minis without me seeing them to avoid spoilers), and they have done amazing work every time. I inspect their work closely and if something is off (like they forget to paint a mustache) they will redo it without complaint. I follow their newsletter for their sales and to get an idea of their company culture. They love what they do and take good care of their staff.
