The battery doesn’t last 8 hours as they said and it is a little heavy

They were knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. Might have been 5 stars but for receiving the cannulas and cannula/tubing connector about a week after the concentrator. Nevertheless, would definitely do business with them again.

Overall very good. But they forgot to ship my second battery and did not ship it out until I called to check.

I'v been using the concentrator for merely two weeks: sleeping hours only, at the direction of my cardiologist. If there are changes in my body's reaction to the treatment they are, as of now, too subtle to recognize. This was my expectation since my heart issues are stabilized and monitored. Otherwise my health and mobility is exceptional for an eighty-three year old male. Consequently, at this time I can only critique the concentrator's physical performance. The following are "first impressions". The devise is a Phillips Respironics EverFlo. With some minor reserve, it works. My minor reserve is: I have no certainty it is concentrating oxygen. There are lights and an audible alarm that indicate high or low concentrations, but no direct measurement of the delivered oxygen vis-a-vis the asked for concentration. Essentially, faith in the device, especially the high/low concentration alarms, is your only option. That said, I've used many other Phillips devices over the years, with complete satisfaction. The Phillips name is the primary reason I selected the EverFlo from among a very crowded market place. Most , if not all, of the others I researched also ask for your faith. Most of my research also revealed--through customer reviews--many of the devices were unworthy of your faith. I've made an independent measure of my device's performance. I have an oximeter that estimates the percentage of oxygen in your blood, referenced against some estimated 100% human blood can carry. I have consistently measured 1% to 2% higher readings when I am using the EverFlo. compared to readings without. However, these small differences are within the expected error of generic oximeter readings. Furthermore, by necessity the intake of air is in a different physical environment, i.e. with and without the concentrator. Addressing those attributes that have little or nothing to do with oxygen concentration, the noise made by the EverFlo is comfortably low. My EverFlo is 3 to 4 feet from my head when in use. I fall asleep easily, and remain asleep, waking only at the usual times experienced without the EverFlo active. Furthermore, When the device is first turned-on the audible alarm sounds for a few seconds. It's screech hurts my ears, but my wife has slept through it every night she has retired before me. The exterior is easily cleaned, relatively free of odd bumps, buttons, grids, and crevices when compared with other concentrators.. The EverFlo is equipped with four sturdy casters for moving, about a typical room or bedroom environment. I haven't picked up my EverFlo since placing it although its frequently moved for house-cleaning, or while searching for slippers kicked under the bed. However, note it's weight: approximately the same as two bowling balls. Setting-up and operating the EverFlo is extremely simple. The prescribed flow-rate is retained use-to-use once set, and an optional hydrating bottle if used is easily installed. There is one oxygen output source, typically, a nasal cannula is attached. When the unit is first turn-on the prescribed flow-rate must be set. Once set the system is ready to use. The EverFlo may take up to 10 minutes to reach the prescribed flow-rate, but you can begin breathing with it immediately. The owner's manual explains these few steps clearly and simply , as well as the usual safety, cleaning, trouble-shooting, etc. Well written.
