Our repair team noted contamination consistent with smoke exposure. Even when most functions still seem normal, smoke can damage or corrode electrical connections and internal components. Since the unit is now several months old, it falls under the repair portion of the 3-year warranty rather than the out-of-box replacement period. To help avoid the inconvenience of a 4–6 week repair timeline, we offered you our Rapid Exchange Program, which provides a like-for-like replacement without waiting for repairs. This is a program unique to our company and not something offered by other retailers. Although it normally carries a $195 fee, we waived that cost entirely so you could receive a working unit as quickly as possible. Your replacement is already on its way.
