Overstock.comReviews of overstock.com

It seems overstock.com pads their reviews. There is hardly any variation in the reviews between different products of the same kind. That seems hardly possible, unless overstock.com pays reviewers to post great reviews.

I ordered 6 mugs and received 4. The order was short so I called to return them. I returned them at no cost to me, so things seemed to be going well. I paid with Pay Pal and after several weeks of no refund from them or Pay Pal I called Overstock.com. They said they sent the credit Pay Pal. I called Pay Pal no credit had been issued. Back and forth for 3 weeks. I got a refund notice from Overstock, but still no refund to Pay Pal. Finally Pay Pal got the credit and immediately credited my credit card. Would I do business with Overstock again, definitely NO. They had no idea what was going on and could not give me any answer as to why. Not in any way professional, not worth the problems of doing business with them.

I ordered a sofa from them online since it had high ratings. However, when I received it, it was used and damaged in the corners most likely from transit since they did not package it well. I contacted them on Friday and they did not respond until Monday. They have tried to offer money to keep the damaged item rather than immediately get me a return label and a UPS pickup for this package. Then they said that the carrier will be contacting me within 10 days like I have time to wait around and have $700 sitting there charged and have yet to get me a label to return this damaged/defective product. So I am out $700 while they jerk around with the carrier. This whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I never want to order here again. If they do not get me a label and pickup soon I am going to have to file a chargeback.

The estimated shipping time is intentionally misleading. I selected the expedited shipping option (1-3 business days) thinking that it would be delivered as early as next day, only to find out that it takes an additional 1-2 days for my order to even leave the warehouse when I talked to one of your customer service reps. She indicated to me that this was a common complaint that the CS reps wished was different as well, which leads me to believe that you are intentionally deceiving your customers. Not to mention that the only reason that I was on a call with your CS rep at all was because my order was cancelled when my address was flagged by loss prevention (which the cancellation email didn't say). It took 20 minutes and a slew of obscure security questions about cross streets in my new neighborhood and "names associated with me" for you to confirm my shipping address, which is baffling since it's also my billing address and I've never had any problem with deliveries there before. This was my first time shopping with you, and it will absolutely be my last.

Ordered multiple pieces of furniture from different brands. Couch was decent for the price but cheaply made. Ordered a coffee table which was damaged upon arrival. Was told UPS would come pick up as a new table was one being shipped. Had to call Overstock 3 times to follow up on the old piece of furniture being picked up over a course of two weeks.. ridiculous! Overall rating is POOR. I'd rather spend more money on better quality items. Same yourself the time and order elsewhere

They did nothing but take my money and rip me off! Ordered a $638.00 bed a month ago. Item never delivered, despite delivery dates/times given twice. Waited all day for nothing. No calls, emails, refunds. I am just out the money. What a ripoff!!!! Never again!!!

I purchased an item from Overstock.com and when I complained about the missed delivery date the customer service rep argued that the delivery was not late. 3 day later I am still waiting for the item to arrive. They did nothing to try to help me or bring me back to their website. They are very good at stating the obvious but they do nothing to try to fix or keep you as a customer.

You must pay to return items and wait forever for a refund. Poor quality products are the norm.
