Less than perfect, perfect day
I had a wedding coming up and after much shopping around for a suit of a particular color, saw one in overstock.com. After ordering the suit in a 44L, which showed in stock on their site, I was sent a 42L which was slightly too small/tight. I double checked my order receipt to make sure I ordered the right size and verified I did indeed order the 44L, so I called their customer service line to attempt to get this error rectified. The operator informed me I was sent the size smaller version because the 44L was actually sold out, so I asked if they could sent me the 46L instead as it was also showing as in stock and I would prefer to just get the larger size and have it altered to my liking. At this point the rep flatly told me the the website is inaccurate regarding in stock items. Flash forward a few weeks of getting down to size to fit into suit, I was informed by one of my grooms that his suit is slightly the wrong color, he was sent the light tan instead of the beige which he ordered, again because of the fact the website shows one thing in stock when it has actually run out. Making it worse, instead of the company informing you that the item you have orders is out of stock they simply send you a randomly different item be it by color or size from that selection without informing you of the change or anything. To confound matters, the shipping time is very long with no option for expedited delivery leaving you with no turnaround time in the event of mistakes like this. Customer service offered no solution to these problems other than a return in which I would have to pay a restocking fee. I will likely never order from this Overstock again due these problems.
