Placed an order a while ago which still has not arrived even after receiving emails that it was going to be delivered early. Contacted customer service who failed to provide an explanation but rather offered apologies for my frustration and that "they would feel the same way". When I asked if this is business as usual for Overstock, the simple reply was"these things happen". I requested them to cancel my order and provide me with a refund to which they complied. After reading all of these negative reviews I guess I should be grateful that I wasn't given a cancellation fee! I recommend not doing business with this company.

Got a rug that didn't look good in the room. They wanted almost $50 shipping to return it, The other order they cancelled as out of stock after they confirmed the order. Never again will I deal with this comapny.

I ordered an item and canceled within two hours which was done on a Saturday the item set in warehouse processing until Monday approximately 11 AM prior to which I cancellation was submitted and also online contact through messaging center and they told me they could not cancel the order because the warehouse already processed it even though it’s set in processing for 2.5 days roughly. I would never recommend overstock.com to anyone due to their inability to control logistics and also to force you to pay them to return an item that you already canceled. Do not use or purchase from overstock.com

Terrible service. They sent the wrong item and they are making me pay for return shipping even though it was their mistake. This is a terrible company and a terrible policy. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again.

I can not even give this company one star. My biggest mistake. I should have NEVER ordered from overstock without understanding their return policy. I bought a huge rug which was too big for my room and now I have to wrap and return at my own expense. It is enormous and heavy and difficult to roll back up and impossible for me to lift. $150.00 to return. Never again. Stupid me. I hope I spare someone the same mistake.

I purchased a large ottoman that arrived in a flimsy box that fell all the way apart after I removed the product. Could not assemble the ottoman completely because it was shipped with only 3 of the 4 legs. Went back online & read past reviews with this same issue where a replacement for the missing leg was sent. Called customer service & was told, “sorry we no longer ship replacement parts & that I will need to return the entire large ottoman for a new order.” Problem is the box it came in is destroyed & can’t be used. I tried 5 big stores & none carry boxes with the dimensions needed for this ottoman. Overstock could careless & I’m out 289.00 for a useless piece of furniture. I have attempted several times to leave a review to warn other consumers before purchasing but overstock keeps denying my bad reviews. This is why their product reviews are excellent for the majority because they refuse to publish bad reviews. They are a scam company! Do not purchase from overstock.com unless you like losing money.

Made a mistake in my order and tried to cancel it same-day. They only allow cancellations within the first 30 minutes of placing the order. I tried, but customer service was very difficult to get ahold of, then surpassing the 30-minute-mark. Eventually was able to return the item and had to pay a $20 fee.... Refund took way longer than anything else I've experienced.

I bought an office chair from overstock.com for $285.00. Thinking the quality of that product would be superior to the cheaper alternative. 2 months later the faux leather started to peel off in several locations. Both the manufacturer and overstock.com refused to take it back because the warranty on it expires after 30 days. I had bought the above to replace another office chair I had purchased from them thinking it was brand new, instead, they sent me an open box item with the hardware missing from the package and the wrapping looking like something somebody did not want. Overstock used to be a reputable company. When you buy stuff from them, they used to stick by the products they sell on their platform. Now it's a 50/50-coin toss. I would stay away from them until they clean up their act.
