Recently purchased two of these for the dogs I rescued six months ago. We nicknamed on of them Trash Dog because he eats any and everything he finds...20k in emergency vet bills he is now the most expensive rescue ever. The hoods are easy to put on and our dogs don't mind them at all. They figured out how to drink with them on right away but they're unable to eat junk they find on our walks. This is an excellent product and I highly recommend!

Excellent product. It does exactly what we needed. A comfortable hood that allows our Griff to run, sniff, play and not eat junk.

Our bloodhound loves, just loves, rocks, especially big ones. He digs them up, plays with them, throws them around and when we try to get them from him, he plays keep away and swallows them! Two surgeries and lots of $$ later (nevermind many muzzles and all manner of discipline on our part and his) we found Outfox. I can not tell you what a huge relief this product (we call it headgear) has been for us-our baby can now go in the backyard and play to his heart's content and we can trust that he won't swallow anymore rocks. Even my vet asked for the product sheet on it and posted it in her office. Absolutely a godsend!

A lifesaver for my dog.

Excellent product! Quality and construction is very smart. My dog loves to find & eat decomposing animal parts when we hike in the woods. The Field Guard has already paid for itself in regard to the Vet bills. My dog is fine when wearing it: doesn’t stop her from running & playing with other dogs. Love it! Thank you for supporting my dog to be active and stay healthy!

Love the product and concept. We are having some unusual wear on the hood the first couple weeks. I had called your office 2 time in one week and left messages, still haven’t received a call back from y’all. I did order another hood so I’ll see if it wears any better than the first one. Thanks Patrick

WIthin 3 days, the outfox field guard broke because our dog (puppy) had it on (correctly) and chewed through it. 3 days. A puppy. And no refunds once you've used it outside. They say it's because of Parvo. That implies they're going to send this field guard with a hole in it to someone else. And it says no refunds unless it's in an "unused condition." I emailed the company and no response. It's a terrible product and a terrible company. Ripped off of $56.80.

We are disappointed that you had an atypical experience with the Field Guard and that you decided to express the frustrations of your puppy chewing through a product you paid $56.80 for by writing a negative review. It should be noted that on the 'Care, Warnings, and Disclaimer' page of our website, outfoxfordogs.com, we warn that the "Field Guard is not destructible or chew proof." We also state clearly in our 'Guarantee & Return Policy' that we do permit refunds if there is a manufacturing defect and permit returns of unused items. As noted in your review, neither has been the case. Nowhere on our website do we imply that we're going to send a returned Field Guard with a hole in it to someone else. In fact, because we accept only refunds of manufacture defects and returns of unused items, it would not logically follow that we would re-circulate a Field Guard with a hole in it. As for not allowing refunds once a Field Guard has been used outside, that is correct. We have been informed by veterinary professionals that Parvo can survive for long periods of dormancy outdoors, which is why we take extreme precautions in this instance. That information, however, is also available on our website.

We saw dogs wearing these funny looking masks, and learned about this brilliant solution to prevent foxtails getting into your dog's nose, throat, ears. The dogs tolerate it very well, can even drink with it on. We are so happy to avoid another painful and expensive surgery for our beagle.
