OutdoorplayReviews of outdoorplay.com

I recently bought and then returned some spare parts for a ride on truck from them. They were very difficult to contact and took numerous emails to get a response, then after following their instructions they received the tracked return and stopped responding, so had the parts back and kept the money.

I ordered a Patagonia jacket and it was shipped via FedEx to a post office for further delivery. After two weeks when it didn't arrive it was a situation where FedEx blamed the USPS and vice versa. OutdoorPlay Customer Service said it wasn't there problem but the carrier. I reminded them that they picked the carrier and also selected a multiple carrier method fraught with potential problems. I was forced to wait a month before they would issue a refund. This was my first experience with OutdoorPlay and I felt their Customer Service was second rate. Very business like and no apology or empathy for their failure to deliver. I was offered no discount or perk on a future offer for the inconvenience. Probably my last experience with them.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I bought a kayak from Outdoorplay on their website. The delivery time was critical to me since I needed this item to be delivered before my trip starts. I was fooled by good reviews and communicatiin with a customer service representative assuring me that they have expedited delivery options. I payed $60+ for 2-day delivery by air. I placed my order on Saturday. On Tuesday I contacted the customer service to find out the status since I did not get any updates. The response was quick by email saying that assuming my expedited delivery choice it is not normal not to get a notification of shipment by that time. They promised to push the delivery. On Wednesday I got an update in the Shop app that my item had been shipped. The UPS tracking number was provided. I followed the progress all day and later received a notification that the item was delivered. My order was fulfilled. The only problem was that it was delivered not to my address. The item was shipped to a different state. I spent hours on the phone with UPS to find out that the seller shipped the item to their own facility in NV instead of my address in CA. I payed for 2 day delivery and after 4 business days the item has not been delivered. Stay away from this reseller and deal with real manufactured of the merchandise.

Don't buy from this company if you are outside of the States!!!! When you return the item (which you will end up doing because their products are NOT at all like what their website shows) you are on the hook for the shipping costs! It cost me $30 CDN to ship it back so I was out-of-pocket and had nothing to show for this expenditure! I bought a woman's life jacket for $100 USD and it was so thick that I couldn't reach to get the zipper up plus the zipper was tucked inward which was hard to reach anyway. It was way too short - just below my belly button - and I'm a small woman. It wasn't at all like what the picture showed on their website.

Made an order, the company ran the credit card, then two days later emailed saying there was an issue with the order and I needed to call them to resolve it. I called, and they said they couldn't confirm my credit card, and I needed to re-order and use paypal instead. And on top of that they said one of the items was on back-order (was in stock when I ordered). I will be disputing the credit card charge and never ordering from this scam website again.

Buyer beware! I purchased a bike rack on 6/6/2020 from the site that said they did indeed have the product in stock and that most items ship within 24 hrs. When said product ships, they send you a tracking number as is typical for most online retailers. On 6/16/2020 I contacted Outdoorplay to inquire about my order. I received an email back stating they were sorry for the delay and that now the item was back ordered until 7/30/2020. Keep in mind, I had to contact the seller myself (10 days after purchase) to find out my item would ship 54 DAYS AFTER I placed the order of an item they claimed to have in stock. Customer service is abysmal with this company and I’d suggest not to trust their “item counts” online.

Review by Anonymous UserShipping has been delayed 3 times now from late Apr to May 6 then May 8 and now to March 22. I get it, COVID-19 has disrupted supply chains. But there was no mention of that when I bought my H3 AND there is still no mention of shipping delays on the product page or anywhere in the checkout process. Even worse, Outdoor Play is still highlighting that they are shipping as normal! You have a popup bar with your COVID update that says "COVID-19 Update - We're Shipping!". If you click on that popup it takes you to a letter from your CEO that says, right at the top, that "Our online store is still open and our supporting warehouse is still shipping as per our normal shipping times." That is a blatant lie and a very shady business practice. I work in E-commerce and this is terrible customer relations. Look at Amazon announcing delays across the board. That's exactly what you should be doing. UPDATE: They deleted my review from their website! Watch out for these people!

Tried to make a return. They made me pay for my own shipping. It cost over $30. The forms were not in the box that I needed to make the return and I had to print them. Poor customer service although the package did arrive on time
