Unparalleled accuracy, tried the competition, they don't pick up on words with the same accuracy. Use it mainly for iPhone recordings, it's the most reliable tool out there. Recording meetings, interviews, or brainstorming sessions, etc. even with background noise or multiple speakers, somehow manages to capture every word (albeit some minor exceptions, it's not perfect, but close enough). Some other useful features include keyword search and summarization (I don't necessarily use it). Best overall service when it comes to accuracy. Price is fair.

I’m using the Otter app to tape stories told by a 102 year-year-old woman. Not only are her words and voice captured orally, the app transcribes those words as well. After uploading them to a word document I am in the process of creating a collection of this amazing woman’s life history. Priceless! Although I’ve had to do some editing, the transcribed words have made the process so much easier and efficient. Every once in awhile I did run across a transcribed error. For example, I saw the word insulin and had to stop to think. Oh. Yes. During our interview the woman said “in Salina.” A minor and understandable error. Overall I spent a fraction of the time I would have if I’d had to listen to the tape and then write down what I’d heard. Although I am writing this review as a part of a promotion, the Otter app that has made by life easier and for that reason, I give it a 5 star rating. I will continue to use it for other writing projects.

as someone who loves to both have and share meeting notes, otter ai has totally changed the game for me. it keeps notes, action items, screenshots, and insights into the meeting. it helps me synthesize meetings better and cuts over half of the administrative legwork needed to condense and send out good quality notes. i'm a loyal fan!

It is like having my own personal scribe. I love that otter can attend meetings while I am away. Currently a free Subscriber will be moving to a paid plan soon. This review was provided as part of a promotion from Otter.
