Otter.aiReviews of otter.ai

I discovered otter.ai via an advert on YouTube. I tried the free version and found it so useful that I upgraded at my own expense rather than relying on my employers. I have recommended it to other colleagues and they were suitably impressed. I find it particularly useful as I conduct a high number of interviews which previously took me several hours to transcribe now I achieve in minutes what it took me hours to complete.

Otter.AI is a great service for in-person and online meeting voice transcription. I was offered at small payment for this endorsement; however, the service is instrumental tool for productivity. The AI part helps me with providing meeting summaries and streamlining meeting minutes writing process. I also use otter for my Toastmasters club an executive meeting.

It's a big help for administrative staff like me for not spending more time in transcribing a meeting discussion.

Otter.ai is a lifesaver for taking notes or transcribing meetings. It’s fast, accurate, and even picks up different speakers pretty well. The Zoom and Google Meet integrations are a nice touch, too. While the free plan covers a lot, the premium features might feel a bit pricey for casual users. Overall, super useful and easy to use!

I'm a freelance writer and Otter has been a game changer for me in efficiency. I usually do 2-3 interviews each week, each lasting up to an hour, and I used to record my interviews then transcribe them myself, which was a laborious process. Otter makes the whole thing much quicker, freeing up time for me to take on more work. It's also great being able to share transcripts with editors and clients in case they need to double check any details. Worth every penny, I only wish I'd signed up earlier!

It's been so integral to doing my job as someone with moderate ADHD. Referencing previous meetings is great, but using the AI chat is everything. My end of year self review was simplified and the most thourough. Only thing I dislike is that when my minutes run out for the month, that's it. I'm cooked. I don't use it enough, nor can I afford, the Pro version. Having A La Carte mins to add when needed could provide the flexibility and options I would need to ensure the app works perfectly for me and my needs.

What made my experience great was the ao part of your product, I feel like it does an amazing job if taking notes, pointing out the important parts of the text, such as what assignments are coming up, what the subject matter of the conversation was, and the ability to ask it to summarized the text and make a quiz/study cards out of just HEARING and then processing the words it hears. The only and I mean ONLY bad thing about this product is how low the sound quality is.

The platform is easy to use and gives you a transcript relatively quickly. I've actually used it more at work to caption videos for my deaf and hard of hearing students but kinda bummed with the limit on the basic plans.
