I have used Otter for several years. Although there are a few bugs to work out once in a while, the program has been extremely helpful to me in my interviews for writing projects.

I started using Otter hesitantly six months ago, but it has been a game-changer for me as a solopreneur. Before Otter, I struggled to take notes during meetings and often missed important nuances. Otter allowed me to focus on the conversation in real time without worrying about missing any details. After meetings, Otter AI streamlined my sales journaling and helped me analyze progress using the MEDDICC framework. As we step into 2025, I’ve noticed that some participants feel uneasy about AI chatbots in meetings. To address this, I would highly appreciate a more privacy-conscious approach, such as including a prior message in all calendar invites: "This meeting will be recorded on Otter. If you have any concerns, please contact the organizer." This would ensure transparency and foster a more comfortable environment for all attendees.

Otter has helped us immeasurably in discussions about writing a book about a therapists. Working title: "Duel Journey --the things I learned from the people I helped" Particularly useful are the summaries which invariably capture the important issues as well as action points to keep the project on course and keeping all participants on the same page. (In fact, the summaries usually sound better than the transcripts.)

Works very well when in class, but sometimes it doesn’t catch the words exactly how the chef is saying then so I have to go back and correct it but other than that, it’s a pretty swell notetaker thank you

i have the free version and while the speech to text is not perfect even when using a microphone it is the best voice and transcript program i have found so far. also suggest if you are recording while driving set the setting to data saving mode, it seems to do better rendering.

I first started using Otter just for transcription of sales calls and customer interviews, and it works great. But with the AI copilot it's become a major part of my deal process. I ask it to pull key points, recaps etc. The summaries and action points could be improved slightly but overall it's a great little tool

Otter.ai has been a tremendous help with documenting important client interactions and other meetings, so I don't have to rewatch or relisten to entire recordings and can search for certain words and phrases as needed. It saves a lot of time and allows me to focus on having conversations rather than taking notes throughout. I wish it was more exact sometimes, and that I didn't always have to clean up certain sections, but I know what I'm getting with this tool and that hasn't stopped me from using it.
