Overall, platform is interesting and can be a good tool. I was trying to use it to help summarize material in my classes, but it appears you need files downloadable and not directly from a website to be able to summarize material so I ended up not using it. It was a bit challenging to figure out how to contact OtterAI customer service, but a quick process. I was trying to cancel the subscription and it had charged my card $240. While they were quick to respond, I was notified refunds take 5-10 business days to correct. While it was inconvienent, I was able to get customer service relatively quickly. And it turned out that I got the refund faster than I anticipated. I'd imagine this is a very useful tool for those that have readily accessible files.

Overall, I had a positive experience with Otter AI. The real-time transcription feature is very impressive, and the transcription accuracy is excellent, which saved me a lot of time when working with interview recordings for my research. The interface is easy to use, and exporting transcripts is convenient. The only downside is the pricing. The introductory offer is very attractive, but after that the monthly subscription feels quite expensive. I also forgot to cancel my subscription, so I was charged for several months without realising it. I really appreciate the customer support team. They responded very quickly, handled my request professionally, and kindly offered a refund as a goodwill gesture. That left me with a very positive impression of the company.

It did a very good job of transcribing a very long meeting I trialed. Output was clear and unambiguous. I accidentally did not cancel the trial in time and support refunded me immediately. From this perspective customer support was excellent and I would use the product again.

I am happy with Otter because it saves me a lot of time at university. I play a video and get the transcript and the summary, it saves me a lot of time because I don't have to do manual note taking. Sometimes the sidebar doesn't work and I have to uninstall the plugin and install it again.

Otter.ai is a game changer for mental health professionals. Prior to using, I hand wrote notes as patient spoke (did not like having a laptop in my lap). Now I can totally focus on patient and never avoid eye contact. Total engagement. I am still learning how to use, I.e. edit, delete but in time I’ll learn.

I really like the summarized transcription. Amazingly accurate. I do wish it could transcribe Teams calls taken on iPhone, this functionality would be game changing.

i've been using Otter since 2020 and it's been a game-changer. I mainly use it for transcribing interviews and it has literally saved me 1000's of hours. The accuracy of the transcription and speaker recognition has improved and I'm usually able to fill in the gaps when it misses something.

The recording quality is very good. I got a word-for-word transcription of our meeting (even though there was some misspelled lingo). The Summary was spot on! My main purpose is to capture Action Items - especially what I am responsible for. I like that the recording belongs to me. I can download it and share it with others. Also, Otter chat is definitely helpful! It helps me with brainstorming ideas, and also helps me find better ways to rephrase my thoughts.
