This service is absolute garbage. I was told by the doctor that until I was blowing green snot, and running a fever of over 102 they could do nothing for my sinus infection. They would call in some nasal sprays, but that is all my insurance would authorize. GARBAGE! Guess I will just make a physical appointment and see a real doctor.

Optum's motto: WE CARE. But not about their patients.
Wish I could leave a '0' too! Beaver Medical Group recently joined Optum. Loved the PA I saw - then there was an issue in seeing her, even after I established with the MD that replaced the org MD I established with. HEADACHE! Finally approved to see the PA last Friday, Jan 19. At check-in advised Optum no longer contracts with my insurance carrier as of Jan 8. Why wasn't I notified? Was told I received a call the day before the appt. I checked my phone - no calls recd. Why wasn't a letter sent? 'There are too many patients for us to do that.' VERY BAD. Some of the staff told me the takeover has been negative for them, too. Optum's motto: WE CARE. But they don't say what they care about - certainly it's not about their patients. Perhaps they only care about money?

Wish I could leave a zero
Wish I could leave a zero. Hardest company to deal with. Mostly good people but the company want to fail and makes money from government plans so the fail is ok Dont bother with the consumer relations department, they will have to coach you on how bad a job the company does as well.

Optum Healthcare should be investigated
my experience with Optum Health since they took over Caremount has been horrible. In addition to billing issues, three of our doctors have resigned, two of which were primary care physicians.

…Looking for a better medical provider…
I have had various issues with this medical center( Stafford Medical Center) currently under the OPTUM group. First they never answer their phones , you need to leave a message and they’ll call you later as late as two days later. This issue maybe getting better at least for current patients due to they have switched to MyChart. And, if you are familiar with health applications you should be able to make or change appointments or leave a message for your doctor.
I get my prescriptions filled by express scripts, however; for some reason one of my prior prescription pre-authorized by another doctor in an Optum group at another location was cancelled by them . I was never contacted. The same prescription had been approved at this location 90 days earlier. The medication is for my diabetes.
In addition, doctors here have issues listening to patients. For example, I experienced side effects from a medication I was taking, when I mentioned the issue to my Primary Care Physician, he acted like I was imagining the side effects. When I asked he lower the dosage; I was waved off as if my opinion was not important or invalid . In addition, I mentioned that the same medication was resulting in higher glucose readings a few hours after taking the medicine. Again, I was told it was not happening. I know, I’m not a physician, however; I’ve been a diabetic for 12 years and I’am aware of medication side effects , I know how to check my glucose levels , and I keep records of readings and what I eat.
Doctors or nurses have never spoken to me as if my observations were disingenuous or are being imagined.
In addition, each doctor at this location requires blood work even when they’re treating the same illness. Why can’t they coordinate the blood work requirements so the patients don’t have to go to the laboratory so often . This could save insurance costs and in some cases additional cost to the patient. Not to mention the patient’s time. Looking for a better medical provider.

This company is horrendous to work…
This company is horrendous to work with.
We were forced to use them as it's our primary insurance specialty pharm but there is dual insurance. We have had a the proper PAs in place yet every month, since April, there has been another issue with benefits.
Every month there is a different problem Every month there is a different copay (which should be zero) Every month I have to remind them to ship only from their special warehouse. Then a pharmacist took on upon themselves to "fix" it in December and sent the generic and who knows what they did and why they thought they had the authority to do it. Now it's seemingly unresolvable
After spending hours on the phone today with the second insurance rep on the phone too it still isn't fixed.
And based on the prolific texts I got after the call it appears they completely "undid" the order all together.
Complete incompetence
Avoid at all costs.

If you can avoid these folks, do so
I knew from the beginning this was a terrible company.
I received a letter to register with the website in November 2023. Try as I may, I could not get registered. I called and was told to wait until January. When I tried again in January, same problems. Had to go thru my insurance company web-site to finally get registered.
Had my Dr send over a script for 84 day supply, only to have it mis-read several times to a 28 day supply.
I asked for a transfer FROM my previous supplier to Optum, hoping the 84 day script would come thru. Instead, my 28 day script was transferred from Optum to my previous supplier. Then nothing at Optum.
I looked again and the new script was coming over as a 28 day supply. My Dr sent me a copy of the script she sent Optum and it was for an 84 day supply. Called Optum and they swore it was for 28 days. I had them read the script to me, after telling them I had a copy, and they still screwed it up!
Now Optum has thrown in another roadblock and I am altering the frequency to hopefully have new medication before my current batch runs out.
I hate doing business with them and they have also frustrated my Dr.
I have contacted my insurance company and advised them if Optum is their mail order pharmacy in 2025, I am dropping them.

If I could give a NEGATIVE 5 stars I…
If I could give a NEGATIVE 5 stars I would I had such a horrible experience with Optum RX wouldn’t listen to allergic reactions to a medication they kept prescribing me they refused to cover the regular name brand inhaler. They even would not give me my prescription for diabetes injections ignoring my physician orders! I don’t know how they are acting over a doctor? Horrible experience I pray all insurance providers drop this company!!!
