I really got mixed results with Optery
I really got mixed results with Optery. In the first 30+ days, they made progress on the "easy" quick to remove items but then things went into crawl mode. They supposedly removed my info from 200+ sites but that's a far cry from the 600+ they claim to do. To be fair, some would require some photo ID which I would not provide but I would not expect that from the vast majority coming from a business that carries your temp Power of Attorney to execute requests to remove your data. For the cost...frankly it didn't seem to make a dent in any safety or security I expected to see from a removal. Google still reports to me plenty of sites popping up with my info and Optery just didn't keep up with it despite the monthly service. Wasn't a value for me.

Thank you for your honest feedback. Many data brokers process removals quickly within the first 30+ days, but more challenging ones require multiple follow-ups, which can slow progress. We continue working on these sites over time, though some brokers may delay or relist information, requiring ongoing effort. Optery removes your data only from sites where it is actually exposed. Unlike services that claim removals from a blanket list of sites, our search technology scans the web to accurately identify where your information is listed. This ensures that every removal reflects a real exposure that has been addressed. While we cover 600+ data brokers, the number of removals varies by individual—some people appear on hundreds of sites, while others are listed on far fewer. Your personalized report provides a clearer reflection of your privacy progress, showing exactly where your data was found and removed. Additionally, some data brokers require extra verification, such as a photo ID, but providing an ID and signing an LPOA are completely optional. If you choose not to submit one, we still process removals wherever possible. We’d love the opportunity to review your case further and assist in any way we can. Please email us at [email protected], and we’d be happy to investigate any remaining concerns.
