One Medicals Dr admittedly prescribed glaucoma medication in error to a patient with zero glaucoma! One Medical refused to stand behind their Dr, even with the error in writing. 3 hours speaking with overly intelligent Amazon secretaries that provide absolutely no solution. Bottom line… Medical One is the most irresponsible, ineffective, dangerous and aimless pharmacy with no true cause or purpose for clients.

It’s scam. I called them and I know Insurrance and billing could be nightmare. I called them before to check if they accept my insurance and the doctor I want to see accept my insurance. They confirmed yes. I booked the appointment and still I got a surprise bill from them for 10 minutes with my dr on OneMedical for almost $700. I called to dispute and now they said my insurance is not accepted. This is how we call it scam.

One Medical made the referral process very confusing and time consuming. I moved across the country and the local One Medical cannot obtain my previous pathology report from previous One Medical office. When I asked if they could reach out to my previous One Medical office, they dismissed the question and never responded, but they agree that they see my question in the One Medical app from over a year ago. Now they are saying that I should not have another colon cancer screening for another 3 years, even though the previous pathology report over 4 years ago showed a polyp removal. I also informed them of the polyps during my annual Live Well check up. Dealing with One Medical process has been very frustrating. I had previous polyps, but they do not want to provide a new colonoscopy referral until 7 years had passed. I could have developed serious cancer by now and they would not have helped unless I pushed for resolution.

Amazon One Medical is trash. Don't waste your time or money. Providers do not care or listen to you. They shove you to an online assessment that takes 20 minutes to complete then they base their ENTIRE treatment plan (or lack of) solely off how you scored on the assessment. They completely dismiss everything you say, all of your lived experiences, and all of your symptoms are completely ignored. All they use for your treatment is the results of an online assessment. You can be perfectly healthy and intentionally fail the online assessment and they will prescribe you medication. Or, in my case, have debilitating symptoms that make it impossible to function, score average on the assessment and get denied treatment. This place is a joke. The providers are basically relying on AI generated assessments, responses and treatment. They will disregard your actual symptoms and ignore what you are physically and mentally experiencing, instead relying solely on what a 20 minute online tests tells them.

I scheduled a routine annual physical—which should be 100% covered by preventive care—but walked out with a surprise $500+ bill. Because the doctor asked about my basic medical history (a chronic condition), One Medical sneakily tacked on an extra "sick visit" office code (99203) without my knowledge or consent. When I disputed this predatory split-billing practice, customer service hid behind standard corporate policy. Infuriating bait-and-switch. I canceled my membership and will not be back.

One Medical and Amazon Pharmacy should work hand in glove, no? Nope. The whole system is clunky and non-optimal. I paid for a virtual visit, was given “no refills” for a common, non-addictive medicine and now that I do need a refill I’m told by the Amazon pharmacy that I need to pay for another virtual visit for a refill. What? It’s infuriating and a Byzantine nightmare to navigate, just like all healthcare in the USA. If the deficits in the system are simply due to incompetence (probably) then it’s enraging that such critical infrastructure as healthcare should be so broken. Or, it’s working as designed: it’s a snare to ensure anyone without financial means sickens and dies. I suspect the corporate overlords 1. Really don’t care about the survival of the “average American” 2. If the fallout of late stage capitalism’s indifference is loss of life on a mass scale then so much the better because they want to replace humans with ai anyway Moral of the story: don’t trust Amazon with something as dear as your health.

I finally found a great Dr. at Archwell health, she said my liver problem was caused by my biliary tract , also I was told if I was in that much pain that I should go to the ER which I did several times, my arms down to my hands were locked up for 3 months, she gave me Prednisone shots one in each arm. But the ER told me I was just getting old they are always exususing of drug seeking and that some specialists are to quick to give you a colonoscopy or surgery which is very dangerous especially for the elderly.
