What started out as a one night getaway for us turned out to be a financial disaster . I booked two rooms for us and somehow at check in cards got switched around in their system. After I stated to them face to face I wanted my reserving card charged and they assured it would be . Several days later somehow we have over 2000 dollars tied up in charges for a one night stay and not one person at Omni can get it fixed. Mind you , our rooms were only 750.00 total and they’ve just had a hay day double charging our cards . This has been a terrible experience and we have stayed at this hotel multiple Times . Someone needs to fix this and do better . We won’t be back .

I had the pleasure of attending the National School Safety Conference in Florida at Omni Resort Championsgate as an educator and it was a great venue for the conference. The resort itself is impressive when you enter with the grand lobby, the pools and lazy river. It was beautiful. There were plenty of choices to eat as well. Rooms were clean and quiet and very comfortable. This is where my praise ends unfortunately- on the day I checked out. The person at the front desk was very kind in helping me split my bill as the organization I work for will only reimburse for the days the conference was actually going on (from the 19th through the 24th). We chose to stay longer at Omni to explore Orlando and enjoy the resort and so the subsequent days had to be separated and we were happy to pay for those days on our own. There seemed to be no issue, the receipts were given, money cleared on my bank account, and we left happy and content. The next morning, I checked my bank account and much to my surprise, the hotel charged me a second time for the entire stay at the resort on top of the already cleared charges, essentially clearing out my checking account. I called the hotel immediately and left a message as I am no Pacific Time. No return call. So I called their customer service line for all Omni resorts and filed a ticket. We kept getting disconnected but after multiple calls a young lady helped me file a claim. I called the next day to speak to the accounting department directly at the hotel after no return phone call. They claimed that first it was their system that made the error, then the person, but no apology for the inconvenience, and still waiting for them to refund the second charge. If it wasn't for my bank, it would be a financial mess right now. Even in their email that "claims" they will reimburse me soon- no acknowledgement of a mistake, no apology nothing. If that is how they treat customers visiting their establishment when they make a mistake that is unfortunate. I will never stay there again because of this. I know they don't care as I am sure my little bitty amount of money means nothing to them but I will discourage any person attending a conference there to say elsewhere based on how they handled this situation. Very disappointed indeed. So, If you are an educator or someone who may not make the money that Omni is likely used to, don't bother giving them any of your hard-earned dollars. Their lack of empathy and inability to efficiently solve these issues when they occur is a huge red flag. Read less

We arrived at 5:30 PM and didn’t receive our food until 7:11 PM, with drinks taking an unusually long time throughout the evening. The cheese fondue was served cold, and although the bowl was taken back to be reheated, the food meant for dipping was cold. A manager personally brought it out but didn’t acknowledge the issue or offer an apology. To make matters worse, when our food finally arrived, one of the pasta dishes contained a large piece of plastic. This was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about food quality and attention to detail. We were a party of eight celebrating a close friend’s birthday, and this was far from the experience we expected from a high-end restaurant. Since gratuity was automatically added due to the size of our party, it felt like the level of service no longer mattered. We chose not to make a scene because we didn’t want to ruin our friend’s special night, but overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Please make sure you use your top safety lock when staying at this hotel. One of my coworkers had a man attempt to enter her room at 6:00 AM. When she asked who he was, he identified himself as “security,” but he was actually maintenance. Thankfully, she did not let him in. What’s especially concerning is everything that followed: * Why did he misidentify himself as security? * Why didn’t he knock or properly announce himself? * Why didn’t the front desk call ahead before attempting to enter an occupied room—especially a solo female guest? * And why was there zero accountability from management afterward? To make matters worse, valet also “lost” my keys and told me they had somehow ended up at a gas station. I had to wait 30 minutes for them to retrieve my keys and bring my car back. Completely unacceptable. Our experience with Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate management was extremely disappointing. The situation was dismissed, and our safety concerns were not taken seriously. We were also told there was no surveillance available to review what happened. This was a frightening experience, and it ultimately led our entire team to leave a day early because we did not feel safe staying. This lack of accountability is unacceptable. Guests—especially women traveling alone—should be aware.

I asked for a corkscrew to be delivered to my room. I waited 25 min. No one came. I went downstairs any requested it again. Returning to the room I waited another 20’min and no one came. I got a call. It was delivered to the wrong room. I decided to go back downstairs to the bar to have it opened.

This was not our initial hotel reservation. However, after arriving at the hotel we were originally booked at, the conditions were so poor that we rushed around, looking for another hotel with available rooms. I’m so glad we found The Omni! It was not only a beautiful, historical, ornate building filled with great staff hospitality, but the location was also perfect. I was stuck in one of their elevators for a total of 4 minutes, while heading to meet the DoorDash guy. Some pretty strange events took place during those 4 minutes on my cellphone, unbeknownst to me at that time via video. The conversation I had with my husband while stuck on the elevator was apparently being recorded by accident via video, but only my side of the conversation was recorded and my husband could not be heard, although we were speaking through the speaker because the phone was recording the floor and ceiling, as well as the flashing 5/6. The staff (Manager and Security Office) both made immediate contact with me following the incident. They were both, genuinely concerned about my safety and wellbeing. I assured them that the short time I was unable to leave the elevator had not caused me any physical or mental damage. I was panicked for no good reason. Yes! I panicked as if it was longer than the actual 4 minutes that it was, but escaped the elevator without any impact on my ability to breathe or function. It just decided to open on its own after flash 5/6 over and over. I had messaged the DD driver to go for help and called my husband at the room. I later learned that the hotel staff did not open the elevator, but were in the process of getting me assistance. I rang the emergency button over and over, while hearing people talking around me, but I was alone. It wasn’t until our drive home when my husband decided to share the legendary tales behind the Omni Hotel with me. He knew I would flip out if he had told me there. I Googled it to see if he was pulling my leg and it happened to be right there in black and white. Well, I’m a true skeptic, but for those who aren’t, it’s an extra bonus to the already amazing place. The staff go above and beyond. Anything we needed from day one, the staff made sure we had it. I’ve never stayed anywhere so friendly. The waffles are the BEST at the cafeteria for breakfast and I get freshly squeezed juice. Love it! Unfortunately, our stay had to end one day short due to me waking up at 3 am very sick, but once we were 15 miles out of town I was better. If we hadn’t had checked out already I would have returned. We will most definitely return to The Omni.
