I was skeptical about the course. I took it just as part of my adventure in New York while preparing for my CS. But, wow! The course exceeded my expectations . Thanks to Dr Somag for staying up with students till late just to make sure that everything was clear. Having trouble with CS, ICE component included? This is the place to go!!! And the feed back from the SPs on the mock exam is very useful.

Great prep and accurate evaluation

I am truly grateful for NYCSPREP, and the time they spent with me. I apologize for forgetting the attending’s name who runs the course and was so helpful, as I am writing this review after a long call night, and I took the course so long ago. I am a native English speaker, did well on both STEP exams, and was blindsided by a CS failure. I panicked, quickly researched review courses, and happened to find this one. It was a useful review, and the man leading the course was extremely generous with his time and gave great tips to improve the speed of my notes. The CS notes differ from the clinical notes I grew accustomed to writing as a surgery resident, and this course helps refresh what the organizers are looking for. The standardized patients can be overly dramatic to a fault, but that helps prepare for the stress of the actual test day. Systemic concise presentation, easy to follow

Great teaching skill for ICE. I love how they teach to write an organized patient notes. Excellent SEP best for IMGs. It was a little terrifying with dramatic SPs but it is very useful for how to solve the chanllengs. As an extra perk, Dr Soma allow us to use exam room to practice cases everyday .

I travelled from Florida for a mock exam in June. I already took another course in Florida before it but I will say that this mock is what made me feel ready. Doctor reviewed my patient notes one by one. He made me feel confident and his suggestions were very useful. I am very grateful to NYC prep. My advice: The exam is tough be very well prepared.

I had a really good experience at the Nycs prep center. The workshop, mock exams and the sp sessions were extremely helpful in understanding and simulating the real exam scenario. As there were quite a few students from across the globe, it was really easy to get study partners to prepare with at their practice rooms, which was a bonus. On the whole I would definitely recommend Nycs prep center for the CS preparation.

I took the full mock exam 1 week prior to my exam. I did not take the class. I thought the mock exam was a good wake up call prior to studying for the week prior to my actual exam. However, I took the class the week that the physicians who work with NYCSPREP were in Chicago doing another class there so I got pretty minimal feedback. That said, I did end up passing CS on my first try, found CS much easier than the mock exam and had all my stars all the way to the right (so did very well). The experience would be 5 stars if the people in charge of the program had followed up with me following my mock exam for feedback since that is what people who took the mock exam any other week received at the time of their mock exam.
