all 5 star reviews are fake reviews made by the owner, absolutely terrible class I failed my step 1 exam thanks to them, total waste of time and money, they teach wrong outdated concepts that will set you up for failure. AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS, Mr. Somas is a rude impolite and unprofessional FRAUD AND SCAM that will cause you to fail you on your exam,.

Failed my USMLE step 1 exam with very…
Failed my USMLE step 1 exam with very low score after taking NYCS prep class, it was an utter waste of time and money. The instructors are incompetent and did not answer any of my questions, they also treated me like I was stupid when i did not know something, they read out of kaplan books and plagiarized. I definitely do not recommend them, their new york center is very small and cramped and not as advertised.
They also pay people to write fake success reviews dont be tricked by them

Dear Ahmed,
You started in our Step 1 Program in mid 2019, but since our tutor at that time had to leave on urgent request, we had offered you a full refund which you had accepted and left the program. We are still scratching our heads on several of the things you had claimed here.
We have excellent tutors on board, who are not only knowledgeable but also respectful of the students and their needs. Although, we do take immense pride in our success rates, its still up to the students to put in their effort to pass this test.
NYCSPREP have our own materials, developed over several years, which our students absolutely love, plus ours is an intense Q&A incorporated course.
Our New York Center is 15000 sq feet and we have had no complaints of limited space in the center.
Lastly, we do not need to pay anyone for reviews, since our students provide us with feedbacks, wholeheartedly. We do reward our students with $250, if they score a 240 and above in their steps.
Thanks
NYCSPREP.

Review of 'STEP 2 CS PACKAGE'
Review of 'STEP 2 CS PACKAGE - PATIENT'
Slow process.
Late and poor reviews.
Limited cases: they only provide feedback on NYCSPREP step 2 CS, First Aid or Kaplan Core cases. If you purchase STEP 2 CS PACKAGE - PATIENT NOTE REVIEW, they do not provide the NYCSPREP step 2 CS cases.
Patient notes must be uploaded in sets of five.
If you upload 10 of them at once, you can't get reviews at once.
The review service is available for 10 days.
But it takes 48 BUSINESS hours to get a review. It means it takes at least 3 bussiness days.
I started upload the patient notes on August 24 and I got the only 5 reviews among 15 uploaded patient notes until August 31.
To get those reviews I have to send several emails becasue of technical problems and late responses.
I asked for a refund when I didn't get any reviews, but they only said they were working.
It was an obvious waste of time and money.

Na, we apologize for the misunderstanding. The notes review package is a popular program with students and we have a team of tutors reviewing notes. We always had a positive experience from our students, and its unfortunate that you had a different one.
Upon review with our team, they had mentioned that you were having technical issues with uploading notes, although you had 10 notes reviewed and did not have any other notes uploaded after that.
Please call the office to sort and clarify this.
Sincerely
NYCSPREP Team.

STEP 1 COURSE REVIEW
STEP 1 COURSE REVIEW
I wanted to write this review for all the people that are interested in taking the STEP 1 course at NYCS Prep as there are all the reviews for STEP 2 CS and even CK but nothing for STEP 1. First and foremost I think NYCS is a great place for STEP II CS from what I have seen. I haven’t taken the CS course. I think the front desk staff is really nice and very caring. The facility is clean but for STEP I in class course it was very cramped so if you are looking for in class experience it’s a small tight room the last time I was there but they were talking about getting a bigger place. Now the STEP I course itself …. I started the course in December 2018 and took STEP I in April 2019. I started the course with Dickson as my instructor (for the month of December) and I think he was amazing. Dickson knew his material and made you understand things in a fun way. He was using Kaplan as the primary source for the course and in the end we would do Kaplan questions on the topic we studied. But Dickson had to leave after Christmas as he was doing interviews for the match process for 2019. Then I was started with Irshan, who is the current instructor for STEP I. As a person he is really nice and he tries to help you but I don’t think he was a good teacher. He uses Uworld questions and goes over them as a class and then reads FA with you. For me that was a waste of time. I wouldn’t spend money on a course just for someone to do questions with me and read FA with me. In my experience all the stuff that I learned from Dickson I still remember and I didn’t learn anything new from Irshan (the current instructor).
Now all of you might think that I might not have done well in STEP I and I might be bitter and that is why writing this review. But I did well in STEP 1 (got over 240) and the reason for that was all the studying I did on my own or all I learned from the previous instructor. In my opinion I wouldn’t spend over $2000 on a course where I have to teach myself everything. So that is my 2 cents

Did not get my $250 as promised for getting a star performance in the Communication and interpersonal skills.

Hi,
We are very sorry that you feel that way about your experience at NYCSPREP and apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.
At NYCSPREP, we like to get feedback from our students as we are always looking for ways to better our services.
However, we are actually rewarding our students. It is not a fake promise. If you didn't receive your check, it's either way by mistake or because we didn't hear from you when you got your score. You can send us an email with you score and we would love to reward you as it is our process since years. Our email address is the following: [email protected]
Thank you again for bringing this issue to our attention. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further concerns.
