Its so much easier for me to get birth control online than picking it up, I currently don't have a vehicle so this is the best option for me. Being able to get 3 months stock at one time is great too!

I used Nurx for birth control purposes for several years during the pandemic and recently tried them again at the end of 2025. What a mistake that was. Both times, I had the misfortune of interacting with several rude and unprofessional employees there, but most notably a Nurse Practitioner who was assumptive and discriminatory towards me and my genetic predispositions. I am a plus sized patient who is genetically predisposed to hypertension and was upfront about this during my screening upon signing up. I have been on birth control before, and disclosing things like predispositions is standard practice when prescribing BC. The NP stated that I needed to log my BP readings in the app. I did--all of which were in good range and near perfect scoring of 120/80. The NP chose not to believe those logs and outright told me it was "EXTREMELY rare" for a patient my size to have such good readings and demanded--not requested--that I submit "proof." There was nowhere on the app or website to do so, and she didn't specify what kind of proof I "needed" to give in order to receive my prescription besides the logs I'd already submitted. She wouldn't answer me when I asked what I needed to submit: pictures? Emailing her? She wouldn't clarify and instead held my prescription and refused to believe the numbers I logged. When I called to cancel my subscription to Nurx, the woman who answered the call was rude and unprofessional. She was also talking to someone else while on the phone with me, and they both were openly laughing at me and dismissed my reasons for canceling my subscription, making me think that the NP shared my information with them. That should not happen when it comes to medicine and healthcare. This is wildly unprofessional and goes against the core of what a service like this is supposed to do, which is to provide compassion and to believe patients. If you're wanting telehealth that's effective, organized, and efficient, I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND NURX. Looking at the reviews here on Trustpilot, it's clear that Nurx is still taking the "care" out of healthcare and staffing people who suffer from Mean Girl Syndrome. What a pathetic way to run your company.

I ordered a prescription nearing on three weeks ago, and while I was charged for everything within seconds, I have yet to receive notice that my prescription is on the way. Every time I try to reach out to support, I get a vague bot-like message saying that they're working on my order. Complete lack of communication and there's no telling if I'll actually receive my rx.

Nurx is not a user friendly service. Birth control is a very simple prescription especially if you have it for many years. The provider wants you t o have a full work up of services they do not even provide, and many back forth messages with no actual prescription provided. They just want to collect the fee and not provide anything further. It is a scam. No refunds. I would definitely go with another service especially if you have health insurance coverage.
