Numeral was dramatically easier to use than TaxJar and ultimately saved us thousands of dollars. We run a Shopify store and previously used TaxJar. Our experience with TaxJar was extremely frustrating. We had a complicated situation because we bought an existing Shopify store mid-year, and Shopify did not separate the sales from the prior legal entity. This caused the system to show that we owed tax in jurisdictions where we had no liability since we were selling under a new company. We turned to TaxJar to help fix this, but their onboarding process was confusing, overly high touch, and not intuitive. They also failed to correctly migrate or link our Shopify sales from the date we purchased the business. TaxJar could not remove sales from prior years even though we did not own the company during that period and the prior owner of the shopify store had already filed and paid those taxes. No one at TaxJar seemed to know how to delete the old sales data at all. After two exhausting weeks of calls and emails trying to resolve this, we finally gave up on TaxJar. I'm so glad we found Numeral. Numeral is truly built for Shopify. Onboarding took only a few minutes and was incredibly simple. They also identified that we owed tax in fewer states because they imported our data correctly! Numeral solved in minutes what TaxJar could not solve in weeks, and the accuracy saved us thousands.

Highly recommend. We needed a lot of help managing our sales tax situation, and not only did we get the benefit of an easy to navigate and automated tool, but customer service really stepped up to provide one on one support when we needed it too.
