All of these wonderful reviews make me wonder who is writing them. I have waited days for someone to get back to me with regard to my account access. In the meantime my entire phone system is being held up. No Phone number...a bot who only provides articles....and an email where no one responds. Hmmmm....gotta wonder where those good reviews are coming from

Avoid this trash company
I purchased 3 numbers to be parked and they blocked and cancelled my order without even telling me. I didn't find out there was an issue until I contacted customer support myself and they said the info I gave them was incorrect? Avoid this scam company at all costs.

DO NOT PORT YOUR CELL NUMBER HERE
DO NOT PORT YOUR CELL NUMBER HERE! I WARNED YOU! They convert your number to a landline and it will take 7-10 days to have it transferred back to a cell carrier. Verizon said that sometimes it can be done earlier, but not with the carrier NumberBarn has me under, so my number is being held captive by NumberBarn.
EDIT: I see they replied, but go ahead and call Verizon. It takes 7-10 days, NOT 3-10, and it can not be shortened. I would go with Google Voice. It remains wireless and can be ported out in minutes.
Response from NumberBarnNov 14, 2022
Hi Tony, I'm very sorry to hear about your experience and can understand that any time without a working cell phone is distressing. Please allow us to explain the porting process a bit further. We regularly state that porting numbers away from NumberBarn can take anywhere from 3 to 10 business days. The reason for this is that our numbers are classified as landline/wireline and the conversion to a wireless number takes longer than a typical wireless-to-wireless port. If we could expedite this, we would. In reviewing your account, I see that your numbers actually ported out within 2-3 business days.
That said, in no way is it ever our goal to "be jerks" to our customers. That's no way to run a business. Please, if you have any further concerns, don't hesitate to remain in contact with our customer support team.

What is going on with the service? Is it a scam?
Dear Madam or Sir,
I have noticed that in 2019 I intended to use your service to port my phone number but as the email indicated the payment process has failed. I thought it meant that our transaction was not successful and therefore I wouldn’t get your service. However my bank statement tells me that you’ve been charging me 24usd annually since 2019, why is that?
With the very fact that I’ve been constantly charged, my number that should be parked has actually been owned and used by another stranger, which means you haven’t been providing the service that was supposed to be provided. I have no ideas why this happens and am looking for a good explanation and refund.

AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Avoid NumberBarn at ALL costs!!!!
This company has been an absolute disaster to deal with! My husband and I are currently in the process of moving back to my hometown, so we had to be assigned a new phone number by our cable company since it is in a different city than we have lived in for the past 13 years and the prefixes are different. Our cable company assigned us a phone number with a prefix that I've never even heard of for this city. Call me vain, but I really wanted a phone number that had one of the original five prefixes from when I grew up here in the 80s and 90s. The cable company informed me that they were not able to give us the prefix that I wanted and basically said that they pull phone numbers totally at random and what we get is what we get. They suggested that if I really wanted a certain prefix, I could purchase a vanity number somewhere and then have it ported over to them. I've never done this before, so I did a Google search and that's when I found NumberBarn. I was very excited when I saw that they had multiple phone numbers available with one of the "old school" prefixes for our city that I wanted, so I found a number that I liked and immediately purchased it for $17.99 and paid the extra $2 to port it out to our cable company. OH. MY. GOD. What a NIGHTMARE this has been! The carrier who I bought the number from via NumberBarn specifically said that a PIN number was NOT required for porting out and if the carrier that we were porting the number to requires a PIN to just use 0000. Sounds super simple and straightforward, right? NOT!!!! For the past TWO WEEKS, this carrier has REPEATEDLY REJECTED our cable company's request to take over the number, each time stating that the PIN number was invalid, even though I provided our cable company with the EXACT PIN (0000) that was provided to me by NumberBarn for porting out. After two weeks of dealing with this nonsense and going back and forth between our cable company and NumberBarn, I was FINALLY provided a new PIN number by NumberBarn two days ago. I immediately called our cable company back and provided them with this new PIN, only to find out today that they also rejected this NEW PIN that they had given to me just two days ago!!!!!!!!! It has been TWO WEEKS of this insanity and NumberBarn requires that you port your number out within 30 days of purchasing it, so we are very quickly running out of time. Today, our cable company wanted to do a three-way conference call with NumberBarn to try and find out what in the hell is going on and why they keep rejecting the PIN numbers that THEY GIVE US, only to find out that you can't even contact NumberBarn by phone! You can only email them! What a crock!!!! So, I reached out to NumberBarn via email and they claimed that they did not even see a port request from our cable company, which is a TOTAL lie because I have the confirmation number for the port from the cable company. NumberBarn is playing totally stupid and acting like they have no idea what's going on, but what I really think is that they don't want to let the number go so that I have to keep paying them to host the number! These people are CROOKS!!!! The Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General are my next stops!!!
If you are considering purchasing a phone number from these frauds to port to another carrier, I have one word of advice for you.....DON'T!!!!!!!

Johanna, first off, thanks for taking the time to write this out and share your experience. I can imagine how frustrating this whole thing was. You were given a PIN to use initially and it didn't work. We provider a new PIN and after working with your new provider, it was confirmed the wrong information was added to the port. Our porting team worked to ensure the porting was completed successfully. We're glad to see your number ported and wish you the best!

Port Out almost impossible
Hard to port out. Gave my other company all the information found at Port out but still NumberBarn rejected it and falsely said Zipcode incorrect, or PIN number incorrect,... different reason each time
Response from NumberBarnJun 22, 2020
Hi Jamal, yeah porting out can be a wild adventure! We'll provide you with the information to port away. Your new provider must enter that information exactly to get an approval. It looks like your new provider continues to update the information on your request but it's not matching 100%. The porting away of numbers includes specific information to your account to avoid anyone else from taking the number. It's for your security. I encourage you to have your new provider reach out to us directly if they are having trouble porting away. We're happy to help!

This company should not be in…
This company should not be in business. To get the problem addressed ,you have to wait at least 2 hours or more to have a respond.99% of response can not fix the problem.100% unsatisfied customer .I want my refund now.
Response from NumberBarnJun 22, 2020
Hi Cong, thanks for your feedback. I do see that we've been corresponding with you via email and our normal reply time is 1 business day but yes, we do get back to you within 2 hours or less during normal business hours. It's tricky when you port a number away and the provider you're working with does not enter the porting information to match what's on file in your NumberBarn account. I found that our team provided detailed instructions for what you'll need to give to your new provider on the porting. If they do not enter it correctly, and it does not match, it will not port. This is for your security to avoid others from stealing phone numbers. At this time, we do see your number ported away to your new provider as they entered the information correctly.

NumberBarn has no clue as to what they're doing
NumberBarn is proving to unable to do even the most basic services that they supposedly provide.
They cannot provide the correct information to me to port out a number I purchased from them, specifically the full correct address. This information is supposedly on their site and available to me but the information on the site is completely wrong. They fully admit what they display is wrong and have provided me with an address that is supposedly correct but which is incomplete. They have been unresponsive to my requests for the correct information despite my having contacted them multiple times.
Coupling this with the facts that they do not offer phone support (ironic for a company that deals in phone services) and that their email support takes over 24 hours per response on average and you have all the makings of a frustrating experience.
I don't know if the firm is just completely incompetent or so greedy that they're unwilling to operate their business properly and I don't care. I just want them to do their job.
Response from NumberBarnMay 14, 2020
Gary, thanks for taking the time to leave your honest feedback. We're bummed that this was your experience with us. You're right, we don't have phone support because it's extremely expensive to run in-house phone support and we'd prefer to excel at email support (yes, within 1 business day reply time is our average but I see most of our replies to you were within 3-5 hours) from humans and keep our service prices lower for our customers. Phone numbers with us reside with carriers. The carriers can sometimes have alternative port away information on file, but it's not visible to us unless we ask the carrier. And, it's very rare. This isn't a normal situation. In the cases a port out is rejected for an address mismatch, you'll reach out to us and we'll provide this to you. In your situation, it appears that we did miss that early on as a mistake was made in the email, which we admitted to because again, we're humans, then did provide it to you less than 24 hours later. We're glad you are on your way with your port now and wish you the best of luck with your new provider.
