National Seating & Mobility: Where Is the Accountability? My experience with National Seating & Mobility's Bronx/Northeast operation has been deeply disappointing, particularly given that this company serves elderly and disabled individuals who depend on reliable mobility equipment. My 90-year-old mother's wheelchair arrived damaged and remained inoperable for months despite repeated attempts to obtain assistance from regional management. Although repairs were eventually completed, additional equipment and seating issues remain unresolved. Rather than taking ownership and helping coordinate a solution, NSM has repeatedly left me to navigate the problems myself. Most troubling, I escalated these concerns directly to the company's CEO and have yet to receive a response. After reviewing other customers' experiences, including complaints published by the Better Business Bureau, I was disturbed to find similar concerns about delayed repairs, poor communication, and lack of accountability. While I cannot speak for every NSM location, my experience with its Northeast operation has seriously undermined my confidence in the company. For individuals who depend on wheelchairs for their mobility, safety, and independence, customer service is not simply a courtesy—it is an essential responsibility. NSM promotes a mission centered on improving people's mobility and quality of life. I would respectfully ask its leadership to demonstrate that commitment through timely service, meaningful communication, and accountability when things go wrong. My concern is not that mistakes happen. It is the apparent unwillingness to take responsibility for correcting them.
