I've had nomad internet as my ISP for years. The Internet service itself is great. The customer service was pretty good for awhile. I will make a complaint that they kept changing how to contact them. Like email, text and the chat bot was supper helpful but then one time they went straight Phone calls. Luckily they switched back to the others after awhile thankfully. But this year truly has me upset. I have been trying to pay my bill since April. I haven't been able to use the costumer portal for awhile now so I wasn't even able to login to my account to do anything. The links I had been given would say it doesn't exist anymore. So I tried their site, couldn't find anything but pay your bill. I was like here we go. It wasn't. I kept getting errors when I would click on pay my bill and enter my email. Would just get a error msg flash for a second then I'm back at the home page. So I started waiting for the bill email cause they always sent one since I've been with them. I never got one, BUT I did get a email that my account was over due and then they turned my Internet off because it said it was 4 days overdue. I was like WHAT? It had a link in it that didn't work just took me to some godaddy thing. But the pay my bill on their site was working "this" time. So I paid my bill but I had the wonderful late fee of $50 cause I wasn't able to access my account or pay my bill. I sent them a text and a email hoping to get this fixed. It took several hours for my Internet to get turned back on but there was no response to my inquiries. I sent the inquiries last month. I got a response this month....yes this month. They said oh it was charging a expired card u needed to update it. I told them everything about none of their links to the portal working and that I wasn't able to get to my account to look at it much less update "anything". And that their pay my bill on their site wasn't working untill after I got the over due email. Which is sketchy. I asked if it would be possible to get the late fee refunded cause I had been trying to pay my bill since April and wasn't able to because their stuff wasn't working. I've had a back and forth with this person Sam Fash and I got told basically they would have to see about the refund. But today I got another email from them saying there will not be a refund on the late fee for my account. So I'm here to post my experience

I initially had good internet and customer service. However when I renewed, the internet service kept going off daily requiring customer service, which was a very slow chat only (no conversation ever). After a month of spending hours a day trying to get internet, I cancelled and was not reimbursed for the month.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear your initial service and support were positive, but we’re sorry to learn that things changed after renewal and led to ongoing disruptions. We understand how frustrating it is to rely on internet service only to experience frequent outages and long resolution times. While our support is primarily chat-based to ensure consistent handling of requests, we recognize that delays and repeated troubleshooting are not acceptable—especially when service interruptions are occurring daily. We also understand your concern regarding the lack of reimbursement after cancellation. We would like the opportunity to review your account, including the renewal period, service issues, and billing details, to ensure everything was handled correctly and to determine whether any follow-up action is needed. Please contact our support team at [email protected] with the email address associated with your account so we can look into this further.

Spent 90.00 on a modem, 129.00 on a plan and nothing works. Called tech support and they told me only one tech (outsourced to Bangalore) was available. I explained the problem and they sent me to yet another portal to show they had charged me? Still no internet but I have a cool white box that flashes but sadly does nothing else. Giving them 5 more days before filing for refund and dumping this outfit.

This by far is the most difficult company to cancel service with. After being on hold for an hour I had one representative hang up on me. I called back and spoke to Logan who tried so hard to talk me out of canceling my service. I was then told I would get an email with instructions to cancel my service but could not access the site with the information given to me. I had to call back to ask if they can mail me a shipping label. Logan assured me I would get the label so we shall see. Will not recommend Nomad to anyone due to this headache!

Jack Brown saved the day. I am extremely frustrated with Nomad internet. My wifi stopped working one MONTH ago. I emailed customer support, messaged their online service and called with no response. I lost money from the month of wifi I paid for with no service, along with a ring camera that was offline for a month, along with overextending my hotspot and wasting money on streaming services I could no longer use. Apparently this was from on update. How is a company going to do an update and be MIA for a month and not give their customers a heads up. Extremely unprofessional. I thought the company was bankrupt. Thankfully Jack Brown talked me down, was able to stay with me until my wifi was working and it attempting to get me an extra month. Unfortunately that won’t be enough to keep my services after my year long plan is up. I use to promote Nomad to others but now they will only hear of one month of no contact when the services I paid for were not being provided.

I've been using Nomad for a year and a half, and the first year was great...simple, reliable service and billing...very straight forward. Since they decided to start changing everything last fall, my billing has been a total nightmare. I have to contact them EVERY month because they charge me incorrectly. I paid for a year ahead in November 2024 due to a special they had, and I totally regret it. Every single month I get charge for something, even though I have a credit on my account of over $100 due to over billing. I don't know what changed, but the ONLY reason I'm still with them is because I paid ahead and don't really want the hassle of trying to get a refund if I cancel. Now, as to the service itself, I have used it in my home as well as on my rural property, and have never had any issues with the speed or connection. I am a power user and generally use anywhere from 600 - 800 GB per month. That being said, it is NOT worth the billing hassle, especially with other services that are now available .
