Neuvana Xen-- glitchy product and app
The app that supports this product is very glitchy, so it's hard to tell whether the device itself is part of the problem or whether it's just the app. It does not work as described in promotional materials. Some purchasers describe better experiences in reviews, but many like me cannot get the device and app to work reliably. This may have to do with the difference between using with android or apple app. It seems to me that this is a product still in the development phase that needs better engineering and app design. It's disappointing, as the device has an interesting premise -- stimulation of vagus nerve through earbuds. It's expensive -- about $400. Other devices in that price range that I own work reliably and are backed by the company in more robust ways. Customer service promises an email to facilitate return of the product for refund, but instead just sends a transcript of chat with the agent. I currently have an open case with PayPal to investigate whether I can get a full refund. Still, I am very sorry I bought this device, as the Xen device just does not work reliably and so far, customer service is not responsive. Update: I got a full refund finally and only had to pay shipping and insurance to return it. Customer service waived the $40 restocking fee, perhaps because I was insistent and had PayPal involved.
