I would give them zero stars if I could - they're fraudsters. Their website deceptively stated I would receive my tags "immediately" only to state, after payment, that I needed a smog certificate first. When I tried to then cancel the transaction, minutes after payment, they said that was impossible. I disputed the $72.45 charge for their "services" with my credit card company however Needtags challenged that dispute based on my acceptance of their fraudulent terms and conditions. I have now been charged interest on the amount I refuse to pay, and it has also affected my credit score since it looks like I'm just late paying. Contacting an attorney Tuesday. Stay away from these scam artists.

This place should be illegal! When you go to google to search dmv to pay your tags this is the first page that pops up. It looks legit like the dmv website. If you don't pay attention to the address bar you won't even know it's not the DMV page. They charge you an extra $80 fee ontop of your regular fee! They are frauds! They tried to make 3 different seperate transactions to my credit card! Make sure you go to the real DMV page. They don't charge you an extra fee! Or better yet go to stores that have the DMV Kiosk they only charge like $2-$3 extra to process it & you get your tags right there! Avoid these frauds!

As so many others, I'd rate this a 0 if it were an option. They masquerade as the DMV. The are a CA DMV partner: www dmv ca gov/portal/business-partner/needtags - so, shame on you DMV. Needtags will charge you $49 for an ACH payment whereas the real CA DMV site does the same thing and charges no fees: www dmv ca gov/portal/vehicle-registration/vehicle-registration-renewal use the real site

Do not use!!!!! I thought this was the DMV site as I followed a link from Google to “Pay your registration renewel with DMV” I realized when I got the email confirmation that the company was not the DMV and was needtags.com. I also realized I paid $90 in extra fees when I could have just used the DMV site. I called to make sure they were even legit and was hung up on twice and scolded for ‘not paying attention’ by the very rude customer service agents. This is clearly an SEO marketing ploy to trick people into paying more money for a service they can get from the DMV. Sure I fell for it. I had a long day. But no need to be rude. It also should be illegal to deny a cancellation 30 seconds after placing the order. Hopefully, I get my tags. We’ll see…but definitely steer clear of this service!!!!!

If I could rate lower, I would. We were fully aware that this company is not the DMV and would charge a fee for expediting a lost title. However, they are DMV approved on the official DMV website so should be reputable. They are not only expensive, but beyond incompetent. DO NOT use this service. After paying $160 to expedite a lost title, they emailed and said we were missing a document. That document was in the same envelope as another item that they had. We had to resend delaying things further. After receiving the 2nd document, they sent us an email saying our title request was now approved and in the queue at the DMV and should arrive in 2- 3 weeks. On their landing page they advertise "same day turnaround service". The 2-3 week quote is buried deep in their wording. DO NOT waste your money.

Did get registration right away. Never got year tags for the license plate. No contact from Needtags. Impossible to get a person to contact. Avoid at all costs. The DMV - is much better (!)

Should be zero starts. Complete scam. Beware! Looks like the DMV website but charges way more than you should pay. Please do yourself a favor and stay away!

Never received registration documents or tags. Never responded to my replacement request. RDF-Order # 446326
