It Is Great! Got It!

I’d like to say a few words about the Neat and Handy Vision Aid Magnifier Glasses. To summarize – they’re wonderful and you ought to get them. Really. The backstory is that I’m retired with a closet full of model kits that I’ve been collecting and meaning to build since about 1968. But now that I have time my eyesight isn’t up to the task. Small parts need to be assembled, they need to be painted and it’s hard for me to see well enough. The results had been mediocre. My wife, tired of hearing me complaining, investigated possibilities (divorce included, I think) and found these Magnifier Glasses sold by Neat and Handy. She bought them for me and they are, as I said, wonderful. Truly terrific. Better than a trip to Lourdes to take the miracle waters which may or may not work and besides overseas travel can be expense. The kit comes with 5 different lenses with differing magnifications. Five. Good quality plastic too. The headset comes with two options: arms like eyeglasses or an elastic headband. Both are comfortable. The attachment device for the lenses gives you options for the angle to and distance from your eyes. Very helpful. And there is an LED light that also has options: bright and near blinding. And again, the light can be angled to meet your needs. You can opt for battery operated or rechargeable. This is a very cool device. Now here’s the funny part which I call the Magnifier Multiplier Effect. My friend is an old timey gunsmith. He restores vintage firearms and he often needs to match up wood grains and file parts to fit. When I showed him the Glasses he wanted to take them. MINE! For his own. “It’s my Livelihood!” Well, yeah, but you can’t have these so go buy your own. Which he did. And in model building class my friend, another retiree, was always muttering and sometimes whimpering to himself when he was trying to assemble tiny parts for his kits. And while he is my friend it was getting annoying and distracting so I told him to get the magnifier glasses. He was impressed and wanted a pair but he’s computer illiterate so I had to buy them for him and he paid me back. Which lets me segue to my next point which is.. ..that these glasses are not expensive. Not at all. And the people at Neat and Handy (Golden State) are really great to deal with. Very friendly, with good follow up. So..if you have any need to have things magnified for your work or play, or if you just want to impress people, you should buy these glasses. They’re great. Really great.
