I bought the essential well water test. It arrived quickly and was straight forward. The turnaround was fast, but when it comes time to speak to a human…good luck. That’s the only problem for me with the company.

When I got my test results I was very surprised to see fluoride at over 5 ppm as we are on a well. After speaking with several local water experts it was even stranger as flouride is very uncommon in our area. The water was retested and showed flouride at 1.5ppm. So I'm not totally sure what to make of this but I have questions about the accuracy of my test results.

Hi Sterling Johnny here, CEO for Tap Score. Thank you for your message. And indeed it is an important and insightful summary of an important matter—water quality, especially well water quality is at the mercy of many geological and environmental factors. As such, fluctuations like this one you experienced are the norm. You should expect your natural fluoride levels to vary from Non Detect to perhaps as high as 10 ppm depending on rain patters, redox chemistry and geology. The easiest way to keep fluoride levels low in your drinking water is an undersink RO. Review your Treatment section of your report and there should be more nuanced recommendations as well. I hope this helps, and thank you for trust us with your water testing—always standing by to help if you have further questions or concerns. Kindly Johnny
