After ordering a $516 water testing kit, I decided instead to change Plumbing as well as hot water heater and Whole House filtration. I did not feel compelled to still test the water since the smell went away. I planned to call to return the set, however, was hospitalized and nearly died. After returning from the hospital, I called the company to return the kit. They said I was outside of the 30 day. Period. They are correct unfortunately I was a week outside of the return period. I provided them with documentation and pictures of my hospital. Stay asking if there was any way they could make an exception they told me to give the water test to somebody as a present. I'm sorry I don't usually give out $516 presents especially not ones that people will roll their eyes about and say what the F is this. I'm outraged disappointed and feel totally ripped off.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. My results were supposed to be back almost a week ago. When I call, get automated recording that keeps cutting out. Unable to submit question via chat or email - button to submit doesn’t work.

HI Deborah,
Oh no, Johnny here. I am so sorry to hear that. We have been having some issues today with the telephone system and we are working on figuring it out. That being said, if you email us [email protected] or go on our website you can get help right away.
My apologies, that's so annoying...

Inaccurate results. Totally bunk test- and odd response!
I believe these tests are bunk. Having found this website (wish I found it before buying the kit) and found the other customers who reported getting bogus results, I am even more convinced it’s bunk. I bought a lithium test since the city (I live in a tiny one with only 20k people) has already detected and tested showing lithium in the water supply. So I bought a test to see how much is in my specific street. The test came back “not detected” … Oh really? When we know we have it in the water, and I already have a test showing it is present?? But TapScore test says it can’t detect it?
It’s like the other customer here who said they tested water from their well, and both times this company bunk test said there were high levels of fluoride. In water from a well! Where are these bunk results coming from?
Here’s the kicker, when I expressed this concern their rep told me, “climate, temperature, rainfall, and even time of day, etc. and these fluctuations will yield varying results sample to sample.” Oh really?? So this is the excuse for tests results fluctuating and showing inconsistent findings? It’s not your tests that are inconsistent, it’s the darn weather? We hardly even get rain here, plus Lithium is a heavy metal! It doesn’t just disappear with the weather.
In any case, I would like a refund for my test due to its inaccurate results. And hope this can serve as prudence for others looking for an accurate water test… to keep looking. It is not found here with Tap Score.

Dear Sherry,
Ah !
I’m sorry to hear that your experience with us did not leave you happy.
I understand your frustration, especially when local test reports dont line up. Environmental sampling data is unfortunately so much more susceptible to external factors than we want it to be sometimes.
That being said, I guarantee you my team is 100% committed to providing accurate and reliable water quality analyses. we take any concerns about our results very seriously!
There are several factors that can affect the detection of contaminants like lithium in water. These include sample collection, storage, and potential variations in water quality at different locations or times. I would like to investigate your specific case to understand what might have caused this discrepancy. I have reached out to our support team and lab team, with your order details, and I will help conduct a thorough review and provide you with a detailed explanation.
That being said, please dont rule out that this discrepancy may indeed be due to seasonal changes or even daily variations in water supply, DO / ph or sample collection. This is why utilities must test many samples and on a schedule. You cant just take one or two samples and call it quits.
Im going to make sure we help you get to the bottom of this!
Kindly

NO RESULTS and I have a kid covered in Eczema
The company received my water on July 14th. It's the 21st, and I still do not have results. This is absurd. I cannot order my water treatment system without the results. It shouldn't take this long.

Dear Sheri
My sincere apologies, it sounds like youre in a difficult position here and the delay in your results is super frustrating. Every test has its prescribed Standard Operating Procedure and Turnaround time, normally it takes 5 business days for completion of analysis, review and report back. I wish it could be faster, but laboratory analysis does take time and care to be done appropriately. Regrettably, your sample is indeed taking a bit longer than usual—I apologize that it is impacting you this way.
Stay tuned, we will have results for you asap. Your l project manager is aware of the delay and working to have results for you by Monday.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about status or results please continue reaching out to our support team for help. That is the fastest way to get our attention and support.
Best of luck with your son’s eczema. Thats 😢 awful. I can tell you in advance, if your water is tested to be “very hard” then installing a conventional water softener could indeed help.

Inconsistent
Tap Score was consistently finding arsenic in my water (6 times over 18 months) but when I ordered a specification test it came negative. After several emails i was offered to redo the test if I pay for shipping. I ordered the same test from a different company and it came positive with a break to arsenate and arsenite. I understand errors are inevitable but not admitting them and not correcting is unacceptable.

Mr. Bokarius—Thank you for initially trusting us to help try and solve this problem. I am truly sorry things turned south. For anyone in California or the US Southwest where arsenic issues are common in water supplies, it’s crucial to know that Arsenic Speciation testing is a really sensitive endeavor (and we will be the first to warn anyone of this) because arsenic levels are particularly vulnerable to environmental redox conditions, rainfall and other geochemistry. You can not assume that your total arsenic or arsenic species will remain consistent. Whats most important is that if you do have arsenic in your water supply, at any regular frequency of testing, you should consider treatment and/or filtration because enough high spikes of arsenic in drinking water can make you sick overtime. If you have a private well, Test for arsenic. If it comes and goes in concentration spikes, don’t be alarmed—thats normal.
In vane perhaps we hoped offering you a free retest on your latest Non Detect result would help you appreciate our care for this matter. Even with a 1-star review we remain here to help, if you have further questions we are a call or text away. Good luck sir!

Results Completely Wrong
The test results came back and did not match my water profile at all. I have very hard water from a well and their results showed it as very soft water. After some back and forth on this, they agreed to test the pH of another sample. It tested hard, as it always has. They tried to tell me that the pH of my water must have shifted from being very hard to being very soft (first sample) and then back to hard, all in a matter of a couple of weeks. Sorry, but aquifers don't work that way. They did refund my money, but I would never trust any of this companies results or anything that they say.
