This was my initial review of the company: Although I like the idea of a "green" mattress, the mattress I was shipped has a very strong wool smell. It is meant for my daughter's bed, so while I am very happy it does not contain manmade chemicals, she has been complaining that the smell is bothering her when she lies down. I am very disappointed in the customer service I have received. I called the company twice, and left an email stating my concerns, and no one has taken the time to contact me. THAT WAS OVER TWO WEEKS AGO! If I were to purchase another mattress, I probably would look elsewhere. ***This review is being amended after finally speaking to the company directly. I spoke with a lady named Char who went above and beyond to help me, calling me back and answering my questions and trying to solve my dilemma. She suggested that I air the mattress out and that within a few days it would smell better. After keeping it in the open air for a weekend, I have to say the mattress does smell better. She even gave me a suggestion of putting on a mattress cover and went so far as to say they would send me a new mattress if I was not 100% satisfied. We have gone the route of trying the mattress cover, and I would not hesitate to order from this company again. I want to keep our country filled with family-owned US businesses, and I appreciate everything My Green Mattress has done for me. Thank you, Char.

It took more than a week for the sheep smell to disappear from the mattress, the smell also triggered allergy symptoms. Order was easy. Delivery was within a week but it was difficult to track when it was shipped and date of delivery. Mattress itself is very comfortable and hopefully the sheep smell is gone. I recommend jumping up and down on the mattress to release any bad air, and using activated carbon.

Superior product at a great price with top notch customer service. You can't go wrong.

I give my green mattress 5 stars! I purchased a queen size pure echo. I've had my mattress for about 2 weeks now and no longer wake up with back pain. It's the most affordable organic mattress I found and knowing is hand made from a small family company makes me feel good too. The company itself is great, I ordered my mattress on a Friday and it was delivered by that Wednesday. less than a week, not to mention during their biggest Labor Day sale! I am impressed & plan to purchase them for my children. Thank you my green mattress for excellent quality & service! I recommend to anyone looking for an organic mattress to look no further!!

We ordered a full size Pure Echo and we are so very happy with our purchase. While it is easy to unpackage, you may let the mattress air for a bit as the wooly scent needs some time to fade. It still has a sweet smell almost a week later but nothing off-putting. We will be purchasing from them again in the near future.

Great customer service

It was rather nervewracking buying two mattresses online, but based on reviews and price for a non-toxic mattress, PLUS the great returns policy, I went ahead. I'm really happy with the mattresses. They're comfortable and my critical husband is happy with them too (he always thinks I play into marketing when I buy stuff). Our mattresses still have some smell from the wool, but it doesn't bother me. I'm sure in another week it will be gone. I'm so so pleased to be able to sleep on safe mattresses. We're not "rich", so I consider it a blessing to be able to afford these (compared to other organic mattresses).
