Ruthless Corporate Greed in Action!
They advertise one thing and charge you ten times the amount. A $65 deal for an eye exam plus glasses ended up costing $650.
So glad I went back the next day to cancel my order and ended up just paying for the "Virtual" eye exam.
Please DO NOT WASTE your TIME and MONEY with these people!
Rather go to Target or Walmart.

Scam Artists!
Received my new glasses but one of my nose pads was missing. Took them back and they scratched one of my lenses installing the new nose pad. Took them back again and they wouldn’t help me. They said I probably scratched them and my frames weren’t under warranty. Checked my receipt and..what do you know? They are under warranty!
These guys are liars and deceivers. Zero stars if I could!

I wish I could take away the one star
I wish I could take away the one star. My virtual appointment was very strange. No one explains anything. Today I picked up my glasses at the store off St. Francis and I-30 in Dallas. The young lady at the counter took my name and handed me my glasses. She didn't clean them or ask me any questions and the worst part all of this happened at the front counter. I had to ask for a bag to put my glasses in.

Fishing customers with lies.
Before to schedule an appointment I asked two times customer service if they accepted my insurance. He replied yes and when I went there they told me to pay out of pocket.
That's cheating!

I was completely violated
I was completely violated. This is the first time I’ve ever had to leave a bad review however I’m left with no choice. I’m writing this in tears as I leave shaking from this awful, traumatizing experience.
I went to My Eyelab located at 4591 S University Dr, Davie to purchase new glasses yesterday. As I walked in I was greeted with the current “specials”. One of them being, buy 1 pair of glasses get the second pair free plus a free eye exam.
The lady who assisted my purchase informed me that my prescription was expiring in December. Due to work my schedule is limited and I urgently needed a new pair of glasses after mine breaking. The lady said I can purchase the glasses and can come back the next day to receive my free eye exam.
I was also told the glasses I was purchasing should have add ons due to the ” type” of prescription I have. The add ons were High-index lenses to help with the thickness, heaviness and magnification of the lenses. Blue Anti-Glare coating for my everyday glasses and Polarized + warranty for sunglasses I’ll use to drive in.
In total my cost for 3 glasses came out close to $900, which jumped greatly and became unaffordable. So she made some adjustments and my total came out to $725.00
The special being promoted charges the highest cost for the first pair which were frames+lenses, mine were $149 and the second pair were“free”. I also purchased a $29 backup pair of glasses for 60 percent off. In total the glasses should have came out to a $179. Which would have been a great deal, however the information provided to me with the importance of add ons the total cost went from $179 to $725.
However, I’ve been a loyal customer to My Eyelab for 5+ years and have always put my trust in the experts to advise me on what to do.
As a 25 year old student who works full time, this is an extremely high purchase for me that I’ll feel for quite awhile, however my life depends on having reliable glasses so purchased it and set my appointment for the next day.I go in for my scheduled eye exam.. which the doctor told me my prescription hasn’t changed at all (odd) then said I have to pay $89 afterwards because I got a contact eye exam is $89. CONTACT EYE EXAM???? I was NOT informed or even aware I took an additional contact-lens exam. She shrugged her shoulders at me and said that’s the cost and you have to pay it now or we hold onto it. In disbelief trying to sort out this misunderstanding, another employee walks over towards me and he begins aggressively speaking louder alongside her .I was talked over while I repeatedly explained this this exam is for my eye glasses not contacts, I was not aware of this add on exam. Not single person listened to what I was saying, Next, one of them shouts across the entire floor to a lady whom seems to be the owner and asks the cost of the contact eye exam…. Not only could the “owner” not even walk across to talk to me instead she screams back across the room (with customers) that this was the cost of an eye exam and it comes with free eye drops and a carrying case. I once again explained I do not want contacts, I just purchased 3 pairs of glasses. In the most watered down way to explain what happened next, she yells back with a very disgusted facial expression and tone of voice “like what did you get just frames, how did you purchase frames without a prescription to begin with”. At this point I’m humiliated and have to explain again, I’m a reoccurring patient with My EyeLabs.. you have my prescriptions. Everything I said was completely disregarded and was forced to pay more or else they hold my deposit on my glasses. The two other employees standing behind the desk proceeded to tell me the following “well you rushed towards the waiting section for the eye exam too quickly”,
“your prescription isn’t the same as before its different”, “that’s not our fault it’s yours”By this time I was bright red, shaking with anxiety and seconds away from bursting into tears, I felt taken advantage of, scammed and completely humiliated. I walked out in tears. The owner shouted to my mother, “The charges are written in front of the building on a poster in fine print”. We checked the posters and NOTHING about this was written in fine print… so we ask if she could kindly show us where it says this, however she refused and said “I don’t have to show you anything and I don’t have to be nice to you”. I was refused a refund for the contact-lens exam. I’m born and raised in Cooper City and was very excited to see a new location open up nearby. However this place is the furthest thing from the kind places we are lucky to have in our community.

Never again will I go to this…
Never again will I go to this establishment. People were nice, but unknowledgeable about procedures, and the owner pushed to up sell me to progressive lenses after I told him they most likely won’t work, and they didn’t. Progressive lenses won’t allow for peripheral vision. You must look straight forward for them to work and you have to take your eyes off the road to see maps etc. Sucks for people needing multiple monitors to work. Then I had wanted prescription sunglasses for transition lenses I already had. I told them I wanted the lenses back and when I got my glasses back, they said they refurbished my old. My prescription didn’t change so I paid for nothing new and they just tinted my old but purchased new. Scam, with no money back from down grading the progressives and the fact they didn’t give me back my lenses after I was told they’d be returned to me. Scam at Waxahachie, TX location.
