For the most part the website does what they say they do...and that's playing the part of being the middle man between you and placement opportunities...I was skeptical at first...but they are legit

It literally took some years and dozens of times not getting selected, but now it seems the floodgates have opened with more than half a dozen selections. I used the feedback to continue to up my game and when I got the music polished to where it was undeniable, it was not denied. Have faith, create for the sake of creating, and be detailed with every little thing with your creativity. It took a lot to get the attention I’m getting now. I could have given up, felt bad being denied, but I was motivated to improve and I guess I have.

The opportunity already costs money to submit. You charge a diagnostic fee for songs that are considered rough mixes and any other song submissions. Why? There is no guarantee that songs will be selected and to pay two separate fees seems excessive.

I submitted my Instru/Metal track "Throttle" to a UK based company to be potentially used for video games and advertising. Several months later I was notified by MusicXRay that they had selected my song and I was offered a non-exclusive Licensing Agreement to review. At the cost of $250 I had that agreement looked at by an entertainment lawyer and he found several items and wordings that I should approach with caution. I then sent that review to the UK company and politely asked what they thought about my lawyers suggestions. They were kind enough to respond but really only touched upon two of the dozen or so issues my lawyer has with the agreement. I e-mailed them again and asked point blank (politely) if they would consider implementing his suggestions into their contract or if that was totally out of the question. That was over a week ago and I've gotten no response which doesn't surprise me. It's pretty disappointing that I finally got some interest to do business and it's probably been taken away by paperwork details, not to mention costing me time and money. I hope you are all having better luck licensing your music than I am. Sincerely Mike @LowKeyHobby.com

I've been looking for something like this for years.. to go straight to the people in charge and that have the connections to get my music heard. Thank you.

So far, I've had a great experience. My track was recently selected so I am looking forward to this and other opportunities! The instructions were clear and the feedback I have received has helped me become a better producer.
