I had high hopes
I had high hopes. But dog beds with bumpers in which the seams allow one to feel the hard floor beneath always disappoint. There needs to be a thin memory foam pad, or at least a folded blanket, beneath for real comfort. Also, our granddog, around 2, willfully unable to distinguish it from a chew toy--perhaps as some ppl cannot distinguish real election results from their preferred results--chewed a hole in one almost immediately & started pulling padding out. The other remains intact, but since the beds arrived later than expected, the penultimate day of their 2-wk stay, there hasn't yet been opportunity to destroy the other. But the dogs did seem to enjoy the beds and sometimes chose them over sofas and human beds. If this is a product meant to last (& not merely be sold in numbers until discontinuation), the fabric could be more durable, with instructions to watch dogs prone to chewing when they receive presents--to teach them, gently but insistently, to honor this gift. I'll continue to hope that sustainable products will be made that will respect the earth's limited resources and consumer trust.
